1. I love Eve and I'm NOT leaving!
2. I have tried WOW, Guild Wars & Fallen Earth...I did not like them as I cannot stand the running around and bumping into other people mechanic.
3. I would appreciate suggestions for games that may be "similar" to Eve...EX: Higher learning curve, fewer "simpletons", passive play, etc.
Thanks in advance!

That's really tough, because there isn't anything that stands out like Eve (hence why so few people play Eve.)
Replace "high learning curve" with "poorly thought out game design" and that's probably as close a match as you'll find. Most MMOs have some grind element, Eve does too, but in a much more direct order and serve method.
There are a few new games coming out, but nothing in the past has kept my interest. It's rather depressing as Eve locks you into a mindset and gameplay method that is tough to find elsewhere with a fresh face.
This post probably hasn't been much help. I hope you find something that entertains you.

Might be kind of hard to find, and even harder to find a group that still plays it, but might be what your looking for |

Higher learning curve, fewer morons, passive play (in some areas.. to a point)..
Final Fantasy Eleven. But this is a biased opinion from someone that has adored that game for six years.. and can't wait for the supposed level cap raise to 99.
Yes.. anxiously waiting for 14, I am.

Well if you don't mind going a little bit old school, you could try Anarchy Online. It has some quirkiness too it that may take some time getting use to, but its an interesting way to burn a few hours.
Use to play it long time ago, was actually my first MMO experience. -

Oh man. You are lucky. My first MMO was Eve and now I am spoiled and have ridiculously high standards set before I even download an MMO.
It's ridiculous, I wonder how many good games i'm missing out on.

Stars, I fail so horribly at this game, and always lose to the computer. I either expand way to fast and have many weak colonies or expand too slowly and get over-run =\ And based on experience with other games, I'd die even quicker vs a person compared to the AI -

CRAP. There's a game on the tip of my tongue. It's a really old game but it involved space like, extractors and you start on a little island and have wars with neighboring nations.. the game like, super old but oh man.. what is it called? arrghhhh

You can't get away from EVE
I did take a break a few months ago to play Aion. I guess somewhere I told myself that all the mindless grinding was actually for something, til I reached the level cap and finally realised that although class balance, etc was fairly decent, the actual PvP system was horrible. I've never known a 'PvP' game that actually discouraged PvP Sub ran out some weeks back, was back on EVE the same day.
XP/Level system is stupid anyway. It's sad watching countless MMO companies use it 'cause WoW uses it, only for their game to fail within a year

Yeah ... I know ... it's not really an MMO ... it's a shooter ...
But it's not going to be around much longer ... not even sure it's still there now ...
But Planetside is the only other MMO ... FPS ... I've played and ... at one time ... it was one hell of a game ... *sigh*
And yes ... I know ... I've posted this video before ... but for anyone who hasn't seen it ...

If you like this video ... you might enjoy the game.
