I've got an idea of what I want. Probe Launcher/Cov Op's Cloak/(???)/Profit
The ??? is where I need halp. Below are the subsytems I have chosen to fly around in. I'm open to suggestions but would like to stick with the Legion. Any ideas?
nanbot injector emergent locus analyser covert reconfigure interdiction nullifier power core multiplier
Thanks!

Shout if you can get over 200-250 dps with that combo...
My thoughts would be what do you plan to solo? Miners in WHs or small people in null? The int null doesn't stop you getting pointed and you're down a low slot, the nano inject won't give you an uber tank without some cap, the power core probably ain't needed if you're limited by the number of guns with cloaky and scanner, depending on what cap booster you want to fit. |

I basically will be going after soft targets (miners, things smaller than me, etc). I fear bubbles more so than I do getting pointed . And the injector is there just to improve my local repper. Should I go for the Augmentor instead? With the power core subsytem, I was thinking I could throw on damage rigs to fill int the extra pg. Or would it just be leaving too much pg to still be used?
Im willing to look at a few faction items to make a tight fit work. I plan on maxing this pilot out on t3. |

Edited by: Durzel on 19/03/2010 16:15:22 You forgot about the need to have some semblance of a tank. Not bad though, 312 DPS from a 500m+ cruiser with no drones and no neuts certainly is one way of living on the edge.
You probably should've stopped when you realised your Amarr ship had 4 low slots (and 4 mid slots to boot). |

Soz
There is no decent PvP fit for the Legion that involves the covops subsystem due to it being the only T3 without a damage/RoF bonus on it.
Fun fact: Proteus with lasers does more DPS and has better slot layout, and has drones. |

Proteus.
HAM Tengu comes close DPS wise and has marginally more survivability due to the extra range, but Proteus is king really.

Tech II on a T3 is whack, even at reduced pricing. Also, Conflagration is eft warrioring. No one uses that crap.
That said... after you swap the Repper, Sinks and Web for faction... we have a WINRAR! Yes, I roll a legion. |

Lolz maybe Prot is best for some Ganking...But Hamgu [Ham Tengu] Has best DPS vs Tank vs Range VS speed by far...
Im not selling anything lol....But seriously it has 3x the Prots range non of the weight from plates so your GTFO is way better and in a 700-1 bil t3 this is very important when you get jumped...and you will.
HamGu takes the cake by far if druzel can explain how prot is better im all ears, but...
On most fits of T3`s it goes...Using mainly T2/Slight Faction Etc
Tengu [HamGu tm Kail Storm ] 140-160k EHP buffer with 3.5-3.8 sec align times 800-900 DPS @ 25-30km BUT HAS NO DRONES with Hams 680 DPS @85km with HM`s and can put 100% of DMG to smaller targets [may fav]
Prot 155-170k EHP buffer with 6-9 Sec align times [Double plate? Active Rep? etc] 700 DPS with med guns 800ish with heavys@3km-10km 500dps@15km has drones to help but also means realying on DMG that can be killed and doesnt hit in devastating volleys llike Gu does.
So as you can see Prots generalls from what I have seen have a slight....Only slight EHP factor but Tengu has more DMG in Ham form by 3xtimes which is very important as it can kite for the begining of a fight and wear down opponets before it really starts trading blow for blow. Also with HM`s you can straight turn around make em chase you as you lob missles at them and then when they realise the yare half dead to scram em and aggress.
As with most blaster ships you have to comit 100% which means no matter how tough you are you WILL DIE AT SOME POINT.
But If kills are worth racking up for you Prot might be your thing, I have DC issues so I love my Tengu it can rep until I sign back onlolz and I can disengage so fast its amazing.
Dru show me how a Prot beats a Hamgu stats hell anyone please? Its been labled as king of PVE so much that peeps think its not king of small gang or solo PVP as wel...in reality its beter than the rest at that also,
Tank of Proteus, Align of Loki, Range of a HAC and DMG well its in a class of its own Damage of a HAMGU -------------------------------------------------- "If Eve Was P*rn, It would be a Snuff film, First you get screwed then you get killed" -Me

I'm not selling anything either, already sold my old Proteus days ago.
I can't be bothered to argue with someone who has 6 kills and 47 losses (including the awesome disengaging Tengu) on BC.
The OP wants a setup that incorporates covops cloak, so try and fit that into your equation next time you draw comparisons.

Lol Durzel you are ******ed...Kail is an alt who hauls things...Oh and by the way the Tengu was petetioned and won back because of a DC...Lolz so if you want to argue with Logic then go ahead. Otherwise STFU.
Seriously man I didnt even challenge you hard except to say Tengu is the Best all round T3 hell I didnt even know you were selling anything, I just read something up top saying you were selling something, and said I wasnt.

I had created another C3 WH Legion Fit thread before seeing this one, merging into this...
Quote: Wanted to get a sanity check on the Legion fit I'm planning to run. The intention is C3 (or lower) wormholes, usually with a partner. The idea here is cap stability with 500+ DPS. This setup is 11 minutes on cap with AB running, cap stable with AB off. Since I only need AB for approach, I thought that was a suitable way to set it up.
The only thing I'm not sure about is using a webber as I see that in alot of setups. If I need a webber, I can drop up about 30 DPS by swapping the cap recharger for a webber and the ROF rig for optimal and cap recharge. With relevant skills at 5 I still break 500 DPS in EFT either way, but more DPS is always preferred where possible.
[Subsystems] Nanobot Injector Emergent Locus Analyzer Capacitor Regeneration Matrix Liquid Crystal Magnifiers Fuel Catalyst
[Low Slots] 2x 'Meditation' Medium Armor Repairer I Armor Thermic Hardner II Armor EM Hardner II Energized Adaptive Nano Membrane II 2x True Sansha Heat Sink
[Mid Slots] 10MN Afterburner II 2x Cap Recharger II
[High Slots] 5x Heavy Pulse Laser II - Conflaguration M, 11km, 544 DPS - Scorch M, 34km, 427 DPS Sisters Expanded Probe Launcher, Sisters Core Scanner Probe
[Rigs] Medium Energy Collision Accelerator I (+10% Damage) Medium Energy Burst Aerator (+10% RoF)

Where's the Covops subsystem on your fit, or the Interdiction Nullifier? You know, the things the OP asked for. Think McFly think!
Pro-tip: Covops Proteus does more DPS than covops Tengu.

Edited by: achoura on 23/03/2010 13:52:02 For a covert prober the proteus has both the highest hp and damage. Sadly it's blaster range meaning ~3km so there's absolutely zero chance of escape if it goes pear-shaped (eventually it will) .
The tengu can get round that by loosing some damage doing 350-400 at 20km bubble proof, cloaked with probes. A ham tengu close range more, but youll be in the same position as the proteus, without the damage and hp. On the plus side it's cheaper and lets you select damage types.
Amarr got shafted with their covert subs :( ***The EVE servers and their patches*** |
