Again: I do NOT want to remove suicide ganking or make it non profitable. I want to remove(/make it less severe) suicide ganking of targets that yield no profit.
I have no problem if someone loses their shipment of officer modules to an ganker wile carrying it around in an untanked industrial. They deserve it.

And yet, that's probably one of the defining moments of the game. If it's something you can survive (as in not be too fussed with), then this is the game for you. If it's not, then it's not. Why take away this lesson and trick the players into thinking that the game is something it's not?
Is this a good time to mention Malcanis' Law?

The longer the discussion about suicide ganking goes on, the more likely people are to become brain dead?

The old style of ganking was a lot more fun and 3 times more effective, we should return to the good old days and point fingers at the OP and laugh.

No, there's no correlation: the brain-deadness typically zooms straight to near-maximum with the OP - as with this very thread.
Malcanis Law: When someone proposes a change in the game "to protect new players" the effects of that change will always overwhelmingly benefit rich, older players.

In the same vein, I'd like to postulate Tippia's Law: if a post purports to present a solution to a problem, and said problem is only described in a row or two, or just referenced by "the problem with X", then said problem does not, in fact, exist. ——— “If you're not willing to fight for what you have in ≡v≡… you don't deserve it, and you will lose it.” — Karath Piki |

Nope, CONCORDS' job is to destroy unprovoked attackers, not that of preventing those attacks.

CONCORD is failing their duties towards the players, they should be fired, IMO. ----------

I'm hoping (however I admit that I don't have enough pvp experience to back up this claim, so correct me if I'm wrong) that such a system would make it more important to scout your targets. Do they carry valuables, etc. The current suicide ganking seems much like, "oh let's kill him insurance will cover it and perhaps I make a profit if I'm lucky but who cares it's fun to see others suffer anyway", but I want something like"hey we scouted out a potential target, but it is in high sec. However it has it said to have enough cargo to make a good profit"
No its not. Every BS scan's you when you undock, unless you're talking about hulk ganking, which is done in thoraxes / brutii.
You only get so many ganks before you have to grind back up, and the ratio of useless crap to worth-ganking ships is like 20:1 in jita. So no, you dont gank the first thing you see and hope its something good.

I have never suicided, but have been suicided. I think it is working well, as far as I know sec status also decides response time, so if you hate it, fit a tank and only play 1.0.

concord dont protect you they punish criminals. in order for someone to become a criminal they must first commit a criminal act like blowing up ur:
faction fit hulk epix cargo freighter exclusive ship (u where stupid enough to undock in)
then concord come and remove the offending vessel and for the record since REVELATIONS concord have never failed at there job

just remove the insurance payout makes it choosier to whom they target everything else is fine dont shop in jita Signature - CCP what this game needs is more variance in PVE aspects and a little bit less PVP focus, more content more varied level 1-4 missions more than just 10 per faction high sec low sec and 00 |
