I'm currently twiddling around with EFT trying to fit a Myrmidon. The LOW and MID slots are all pretty basic;
[Myrmidon, ] Damage Control II Medium Armor Repairer II Medium Armor Repairer II Energized Adaptive Nano Membrane II Energized Adaptive Nano Membrane II Energized Adaptive Nano Membrane II
Warp Scrambler II Medium Capacitor Booster II, Cap Booster 800 X5 Prototype I Engine Enervator X5 Prototype I Engine Enervator Y-T8 Overcharged Hydrocarbon I Microwarpdrive
But now I cannot seems to decide between Autocannons or Lasers.
Lasers seem to be more versatile, have a better optimal and require less powergrid. Autocannons on the otherhand do not require capacitor and would thus leave more capacitor to spare for my Armor Repairer II's.
Any thoughts / suggestions?

number of opponents, number of your gang and expected duration of fight play a big part in choice of fit.

Both work, it's mostly a matter of flavor. Pulses have better range, AC's have variable damage and better tracking. An additional option is that you can use either small or medium turrets. If you want to tank the thing to hell, small turrets still add around 150 dps while allowing for a truly epic tank. That's mostly for baiting but can also be very handy if you are planning on soloing a frigate blob. One myrmidon with small pulses and 15+ light drones vs 10 inties/AF's is very very funny. Recommended with multiple scramblers for maximum lols. Just don't get ecm'd, really sucks all the fun out even if you still win. -----------------------------------------------------

I am mostly interested in solo preformance and small gang PVP. I understand the question is an almost impossble question to answer 'correctly' but thank you for any feedback :)
And thank you aswell, King Rothgar.

Given you're saying solo and have a web/scram fitted I'd say ACs.

then ACs as you'll need cap to last long. check out Royce Hellwakka and Razorsama here.

I haven't flown a Myrmidon in like a year, but I also haven't killed any recently. Come to think of it, I haven't seen hardly any recently.
Are dual Myrm fits now with 3 EANMs? o.o

If you are going with active reps, I'd use AC. Otherwuse you will use too much cap too fast :)
I persoanlly buffer shield tank it and use lasers. But I don't fly a myrm too often. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

You might find than an armor explosive hardener II gives you a better tank than that 3rd EANM, if you are coming up against minmatar I would definitely reccomend it. If you can't/won't fit an Armor Explosive Hardener try an Energized Reactive Membrane.

I suppose a lot of people also use Warrior drones for that added speed. Of course versus a Myrmidon you'd throw out your Goblins with Hammers - but perhaps people didn't bring them.

actually using hammers/goblins outside of missions is... sketchy.
goblins are a bit bleh in speed, and hammers are really slow compared to valks.
only place where I actually use hammers is in the curse/pilgrim, where I usually have T2 hammers as backup wing or to use vs BS'es, beyond that valks are better in everyway, xcept damage of course, but the increased speed makes it better for when you need to GTFO and you don't want to lose drones ---

Don't forget that the tracking means better quality hits against non-massive targets as well; and the damage type is better for hitting armour (though worse against shields, which are pretty common these days, meh).

491 DPS, ouch. But probably not suited in 3-4 man gangs, will try it out in larger gangs though.
