Posting via my favorite forum ho alt, to avoid anybody else in my region jumping on the bandwagon. That way, I won't have to Gank and pod anyone else.
Well I have been building and blowing up Tier 2 Battleships for over two months now. Started with 300M. Have bought 20 plex's, a few nice ships and mods, some implants for my training characters and still have about 3B operating capital. I am out of work living on umemployemnt so time is one thing I have.
1. It's LOTS of work. I do all my own hauling in a freighter and a transport for riskier stuff.
2. I know my region REALLY well, I know where missions are run...I'll kiss the fattest girl's butt you can find in the most public place you want if I get more than 15% of my minerals from mission runners. That's being generous on the estimate
3. Where do the VAST majority of the MANY BILLIONS of units of minerals I am getting come from.....wait for it.....
MACRO MINERS
Now how do I know that? I tried mining when prices got bad for a week. I have an Orca, Mindlink, Implants all the bells and whistles. I also have 2 T2 Crystal trained Hulk pilots. We melt a roid belt in a few hours. We could mine for 23 hours and still not get enough for ONE Battleship.
I have the same 8 to 10 people, who like clockwork...log on and sell me like 50M to 80M units of minerals DAILY. Not ore, refined minerals folks.
These aren't just macro-miners...they are macro FLEET miners. I have tried to make arrangemnts with most of them. ALL are unreachable via convo and don't respond to mails.
Irrelevant of what you think of the self-destruction/insurance scam, there are whole lot bigger scams going on. I mean I work my butt off for my paltry take per day. These Macro Maestros, log on, refine (maybe) and cash out and are done.
Anyway, just wanted to let you folks who keep quoting some old CCP BS about mission runner minerals that you are reallly wrong. The mission runner MAY, in high sec, produce a bigger amount of the high end stuff, but I don't buy those here anyway. No where near enough is produced to meet my demands.

I am very interested in the locations and pilot names of these macro fleet miners. Please send them to me in game via eve mail. Any additional intel you have on them would be appreciated as well. -----------------------------------------------------

This really, really needs an official response and of course it would be nice if someone can verify what you you're saying is true. I'm not saying you're lying, I'm saying this is Eve. People always make **** up for lulz, or scams or what have you.
If what you say is true - this is serious, and we need maor Wrath.
Hell, make a hi-sec miner culling holiday. Announce it in system X minutes before Concord takes a lunch break. Human miners can dock up (and ***** yes yes whatev) and macro miners can then get blown to bits, then we have character names and CCP can ban them. Spam the warning in all hailing frequencies prior to the purge, but this has to stop. Again, if true - imagine how much better fleet battles between - you know - real people who aren't ****ing bot managers might get noticeably better after they eliminate all of that extra load on the system.
Macro botters ruined Lineage 2 and countless other games. Will CCP allow them to ruin Eve? I hope not.

Well I belive it, and have seen it in action.
I petitioned one group of 3 who were at it 23/7, 7 days a week. They had an Orca and two hulks. I think CCP actually did something about them. Now I only see them on once in a awhile. Or maybe they moved after CCP contacted them. (more likely)
I wonder what percentage of CCP's monthly income is from the accounts of macro miners?

Well it wouldnt matter, I think if you got rid of all the macro miners, mining will be profitable again and prices will go incredebly high, meaning more GTCs and GTC prices going high, win / win FIRST!! |

and if anyone does please post the DATE of that major faux pas. Of course considering what I have read lately about their economist....
It's huge folks, over 50% of my minerals are coming from about 10 people. BILLIONS of units. Not traders mind you...miners. No middleman mark-up, which allows me to continue my sick little operation.
And I am in a small, non hub region.

As a GTC seller, I approve of this message. :)
The game experience for people who deserve to use the server load i.e. people who aren't macro'ing would improve in things like fleet battles which would then mean that they continue to sub their accounts. Unlike ASLKFJSDLKSE@1212 the minmatar who's like a couple weeks old and being ran by an 8 year old in a sweat shop in China.

No, I am saying that TODAY (and for the last 2 months) in my region it's more like 60%+ produced by Macro miners.
Dude..... try mining and refining 50M trit. Call me when you are done.
It must take 20 accounts all day to get what they are selling me.

I really doubt the number of macro miners has increased more than the number of mission runners since then.

Pity that opinions, if voiced loud enough, can't override actual evidence.

Anyone who's played the mineral market has seen obscene amounts of minerals being sold in weird locations that can only really be explained by isk sellers, although looks like these days the real money is in account hacking, of course they can do both, sigh.
Anyone who has taken it upon themselves to clean certain areas up will also be familiar with the bad bable-translated hate mail that comes in too (mainly about dogs i've noticed) :-)
Without these macro's around mining would be a whole lot more profitable. |

Yeah, it is pointless to mine. CCP might as well just remove it from the game, and I say that with a carebear alt that's supposed to pay for ships that get blown up for my combat main. Mission loot, macro miners has pretty much destroyed mining and much manufacturing in the game. Not even ABCM-mining is particularly profitable these days.
*shrug*
That's the way it is, I guess.
If CCP would do something, then the forum whines about prices would be tsunamic.

Your lack of detail, the numbers involved, and the fact that 1 region, or shall I say a few systems, does not equal the whole of EVE, leaves much to be desired to demand answers from CCP.

Yeah, there's a claim that 40% of minerals come from reprocessed modules. This notably also (provably) included transport modules. We know this because he specifically called called out all the places you can get morphite in missions and then it was also in the reprocessed modules section.
The numbers were probably viable then, but the recent application of them towards claiming that mission runners make all the minerals is totally (and provably) false.

One of the most intelligent reply's here.
Yo, forum Ho's!
I am not making this up. This is reality in our game...for those of us who actually play it, unlike, from what I gather, CCP's economist.
Most of this other crap is not even worth responding too. I did it, am doing it, and this HOW IT REALLY IS INGAME!
Anymore stupid questions?

You maam, I would suggest that you bend over, make sure that there is nothing in the way, and try to squeeze a pinhead into your brain.....lubricated of course.
And show me UNPREJUDICED evidence.
PS: Just don't show me what it looks like when you bend over!

I thought that was fairly obvious from the post - there aren't kill agents where he's getting the minerals.
