One of my friends got denied a kill from a BS coming through a 0.0 gate because the coward logged off "before any agression was made".
The respons from the second GM said it wasn't possible to find out wether that person logged out due to normal circumstances or wether he logged off to avoid being shot to bits. Even when my friend provided him with a timed log of what happend. The logoff and agression times were so close even a frog could've figured it out. After dominion the game itself got messed up, fleetfights, sov mechanics,... and now even normal petitions aren't being investigated while it is a "no brainer".
I wonder why I keep my main character's account offline and letting the other's run out.
I'll keep track of how this game is evolving but atm it isn't worth a penny of my money anymore.

3/10 Please pardon the prissy overtones that will be found throughout this letter, but the reservoir from which CCP draws its lickspittles is primarily the masses of revolting enemies of the people. |

So not only did the logoffer win the combat by logging off, he also made you quit EVE? Damn. He IS good!

I got denied reimbursement on that nightmare, even if it was still shooting at nothing while writing it, they couldn't confirm anything was wrong.

Now guess what happened? Right. Nothing wrong server side, so the issue must have been somewhere between the server and you. CCP does not control the internet, though I'm sure they'd replace it with superconductors to minimize ping issues if they were. --------

Unfortunately we are unable to reimburse the ship as our server-side logs do not indicate that a bug/error within the game or a server related problem was the reason for your loss. Our reimbursement policies are very strict and we can only reimburse if we are able to verify that a bug or server error caused the loss.

When you notice your mods still cycling but nothing happening, just relog really fast and you probably wont lose anything, lag like this should only kill you if you were afk.

If I went through a gate and noticed a gate camp waiting for me, I'd probably log off while still cloaked as well, I really don't see why you feel that its petitionable, as you say he logoffskied before you got aggression. Logging off while cloaked got to love it.

Why didn't you relog the moment modules went screwy? E-warp might have saved you a nightmare.

Uh, no you can't. The ship emergency warps to 1,000,000 km from the spot. If the person was not agressed in the system prior to logging, once the ship comes out of warp you have 30 (or maybe 60) seconds before it magically dissapears. There is no way to prevent the dissapearance.
Logoff mechanics have been an issue for years. If you know how to exploit them, they can prevent most pvp deaths.
The current logoff mechanics are terrible and are second only to lag as game-breaking issues within EVE.

My opinion exactly. Let's let this thread die. It was mostly a frustration thread for me. I loved this game and TBH played it soo many hours my wife had her bags packed...litteraly :p The messed up bugriddled changes with dominion and dozens of previous minor issues like the ones mentioned in this thread just dissapoint me. I'm hoping a lot of 'em get dealt with ASAP so I can enjoy the game again like I used to.
Good hunting to you all..for the fanboy's too :p "Loyalty and dedication" |

If your wife is/was about to leave you because you play too much Eve, then you should prolly think about playing a little less, or getting a divorce so that you can play Eve more and your wife can have a husband that will make love to her instead of posting frothing rants about not killing some internet pixels....
