their / they're / there too, to, two alot (properly spelt: a lot) abit (properly spelt: a bit) infact (properly spelt: in fact) aswell (properly spelt: as well) ofcourse (properly spelt: of course) we're / were
And my favourite / most likely to cause me facepalming: i (properly spelt: I)
Convo gets an honourable mention as it seems to be common practice in Eve to say "convo me". Saying "conversation me" is gramatically incorrect.

And what exactly is your problem with that?
It's a shortened form of Cartoon as in Loony toons or Toontown.
They most certainly aren't selling a jingle so tune would be wrong.
Toon is the standard MMO term for a character has been pretty much since the genre was created.

TBH I think dreadnaught is right, but who knows.
Dreadnought comes from the saying 'Fear god and dread nought', meaning dread nothing.

American English is as valid as English English. In fact, Americans (up until the early 20th century) was considered (by many) to speak a more pure form of the language than the dialect which was prevalent in Britain at the time.
Which single dialect would that have been? Great Britain has many dialects and remnants of older languages. For example, take the south-west of England, say from Bristol to Jersey - start east, you'll hear one dialect of Norman English, go eastward only a hundred miles, you'll begin to hear remnants of West Saxon (the language of Alfred the Great). Go to the Channel Islands a couple of dozen miles south - you'll witness a huge French influence in their written and spoken language/dialects.
As for armour/armour -both are good. Every spoken language must evolve or end up a footnote in the history books (see West Saxon, above).

It's not a spelling error, it's just a stupid word and it should be censored on the EVE forums to prevent the stupid from spreading.

Words aren't stupid, people who think words are stupid are stupid.
This thread is about words that are commonly misspelled not about words that are stupid. So it strikes me as rather stupid to bring up "toon" under this circumstance since whether you think the word is stupid or not it's still spelled correctly. So in addition to lacking in reading comprehension you're also off topic.
Now people trying to sell a tune on the character bazaar forums would be appropriate to mock in this thread.

Not sure if it has been said yet, but defense tbh.
It's cute to see a "D" and a fence at a football game, but not to see it repeatedly typed as "defence"

That's a proper spelling in other countries.

I hate it when ppl use "the".
If you gave it some actual thought and cared about what you say you could easily create all your sentances without using "the". ------------------------------ God is an afk cloaker |

Why would you want to? It's a common English word. It's there to be used.
Oh, and that reminds me of another word that is often misspelled: 'sentence' as 'sentance'. ----- 'In Eve, as in real life, if you are bored it's your own fault.' |

If you look, you'll notice that I'm not the one that brought it up in the first place, so don't talk about my reading comprehension.
And you're wrong about it not being a misspelling--it's a very bad misspelling of the word "character". There are no cartoons in this game. Maybe in some other MMOs characters look like cartoons, but not in EVE.
