As my first community contribution I am now happy to release EVE Refine, an external website dedicated to mineral value calculations.
Link: EVE Refine
EVE Refine will use player entered mineral prices, skills, and station information to calculate the mineral value of almost* any item in EVE.
Settings and mineral prices are stored in cookies, which is great for out of game browsers but slightly less useful in-game as cookies are treated as highly temporary by the in-game browser. I'm currently looking into workarounds so we can have stored settings for in-game use.
PLEASE, please check your numbers** before making isk-breaking in-game. I have checked my numbers many time and found they are usually accurate with very small differences. But there is always that one instance...
Suggestions, ideas, and bug reports are all welcome! Please send them [email protected] or leave comments here.
Notes: *Not all items refine to only minerals. Tech 2 and Tech 3 never do to my knowledge. Capital ships will recursively be broken down into mineral value, BUT check your numbers! Why you would refine a capital is beyond me though... **If you find a calculation that is off, please send me some detailed information to [email protected] along with your skills, the item, and the percentage error. Any error within 2.5% I will consider to be withing the acceptable range.

Glad to see you finished it. No problems with it in the in-game-browser either.

I have had some trouble with meta 1-4 stuff. How did you calculate the refinables from that? Is that a feature of the latest db?
Here's what I have:

Edited by: Konpai on 15/01/2010 08:22:46 mylridia: I use the new database dump(dominion) and from that I primarily use the invTypeMaterials table to get the refine information and the invTypes table to get other information like name and portion size. Meta level never played into what I was doing, sorry I can't help more.
