You can fit a warp disruptor or a warp scrambler on a hurricane depending on personal preference.
This is how they compare. ---------Thorax----Cane Short Range DPS------548-------648 Tracking-.15-------.14 Optimal--1.5-------1.7 Falloff--3.8-------16
Long Range DPS------469-------537 Tracking-.11-------.10 Optimal--3.8-------3.5 Falloff--4.7-------23
EHP------27k-------52k Speed----1184m/s---1792m/s Agility--6.4s------5.5s Scan-Res-356-------302 Sig-Rad--140-------299
Cost - IDK I'm not going to go look at the jita market. But considering both ships are t1 and completely insurable you're looking at the difference between fitting a ship with 16 slots and one with 21 slots.
Given this data there are only two reasons to fly a thorax. #1 you haven't trained a cane. #2 you want to engage people who would be afraid to attack a cane.
Just the fact you are comparing the Thorax with a BC shows that Thorax is awesome, simple great.
Don't see it?

Thorax sucks compared to the vexor. You can fit a vexor basically for any job you would want to fit a thorax and it will be better.
And lol at the "hurricane is better" trolling. --------

Edited by: Krist Valentine on 09/01/2010 04:29:28 first fits probably more useable. theyd both do the trick from a quick browse over them, but the first one is slightly more adaptable and to be honest the dps youll gain on the second fit wont let you kill anything much bigger than you could with the first fit when you account the length of the combat into it. edit: and to the guy above me, (take this comment knowing that i probably prefer the vexor to the rax) id say your comments pretty wrong. rax is more of a f1-f5 scram poppy pop kinda ship for situations where you wanna just warp in and then warp out on their (or your) death. whereas vexors not really such an all-out ship, its more of a safety setup.
