Tell your FC's to go into low sec with a few buddies and start picking fights. After about 6 months of living off of loot/ransoms they'll know what they're doing. I'm not kidding. "Educated" FC's don't know sh*t as it's all about experience. This works well because being good at small gang pvp automatically makes you good at large scale, the reverse couldn't be further from the truth. -----------------------------------------------------

Linking somehow didn't work. Agony unleashed have pvp classes and you're not required to join them.

I think that job is one of those where experience beats education. But if theres education on it wouldnt it be better to send the whole unit there? FC learing to give right orders and fleet learning to follow orders...

Make they fly with as many different FCs as possible. Flying with a variety of people who command in different styles is a great way to lean what works in what situations.... as well as what leads to you fleet being turned into space debris.
Also, listen to Wraithstorm ;) |

Although I feel that what you're trying to accomplish won't work I'll 2nd 'listen to Wraithstorm'. He's funny and probably can teach your lot a thing or 2.
(But IMO Good FCs are born from experience, extensive small gang and solo experience helps but they also need a "knack" for it)

This, really. It's like old style apprenticeship usually, you fly with people who know their stuff, start by FCing small gangs of small ships and work your way up from there. And by and large there's no such thing as inexperienced good FC, they don't have that much time to think about what they have in front of them in terms of usual tactics, ship layouts and capabilities etc., they need to have seen them often enough to recognize them more or less instinctively so they can focus on other stuff.
Learning by doing, imparting all the knowledge needed in some short course is pretty much impossible, it'll take months for most.
Agony pvp course maybe? If you wanted a good first step, flying with good FCs and seeing how it's done up close is a good start.

Op probably means that someone would teach the FC about basics ie. what people mean with "burn to gate", "jump on arrival" etc. and when to use them.

There you go a link to a free podcast of a FC seminar done by Agony. Done not too long ago in support of Teadaze's election for CSM.

If Wraithstorm offers to train your FCs then you'd be well advised to jump at the chance - he's a great FC and, win loose or draw he always makes the experience exciting, enjoyable and educational. As in RL, people are much more likely to follow and continue following a leader that they like and respect, but that is a lesson that is lost on some Eve FCs!!

Employing Wraith if he's offering his services will do you no harm at all.
At the end of the day as people are saying, it comes down to experience though. I will slightly disagree with Raimo Solo PvP experience doesn't mean much when it comes to FCing.

Wraith is very good at what he does. His only downfall is his voice, it makes me want to hump his leg everytime he speaks.
Some of my first pvp experiences were with Wraithstorm, and as another poster said, win lose or draw, it's always a fun experience.
