I've bought ammo for my missile launchers and hybrid guns, and docked at the station where they're located. For the life of me I can't figure out how to get them into my cargo hold. Drag and drop from Assets to Cargo Hold doesn't work. Is there something obvious about the UI that I'm missing? |

Open your 'items' window (should be a button in the lefthand menu). Drag & drop from there.

Thanks. Finally figured that out. Darn UI. :)

And even cooler - somehow I got stuck inside an asteroid, but couldn't move because I was constantly trying to warp. Nice...

Just keep spamming <CTRL>+<Space Bar> and eventually you'll stop trying to warp.
For future reference there is not usually a reason to get that close to an asteroid.

Thanks. Tried ctrl-space for about ten minutes, on and off. No luck. I'm still trying to warp.
And yeah, I wouldn't assume I needed to go into a hollow asteroid. I just set a route to a wreck and the autopilot got me in there.

Try logging off. When you log off in space, your ship will automatically warp to a spot 1,000,000 KM in a random direction. Not sure what happens when you're being blocked by something, but give it a try.
Note, when you log back in your ship will try to warp back to where you were when you logged off. If something is in your way after the warp bubble collapses you'll just bounce off it.
Second note, the logoffski trick doesn't work when you are warp disrupted so don't think you are going to get out of a PvP fight using this trick.

The autopilot is the thingy that warps you to gates and stuff.
When you fly to an object in space manually, you will get stuck in anything which happens to be in the way. And yes, the collision mechanic and the "get unstuck" mechanic is rather bad. I get stuck trying to use accel gates quite regularly and have to log off to get free.

Funny thing - I tried logging off. Was still happily warpling when I logged back in.
I created a Stuck petition and thankfully was responded to pretty quickly. Good work on the part of the admins/ops.

yeah - you can say what you want about the petition system, but the stuck ones get dealt with damn fast (well, they ARE game breaking).

Yup. And as much as I hated to bug an op, I'm glad they sorted it out pretty quickly.
