What??!! You mean there's other alliances other than Goonswarm, AAA, IT, Atlas, Razor ect.?
But seriously folks, yes there's many alliances out there, I'm always meeting new guys that appear from nowhere with a 300 man plus alliance and trying to assimilate them :)
As for undivided, it is full of veteran pvpers and some dam good blokes, in a way I'm glad mono fail made us come together and create something that is undivided. Plus it's the first alliance that hasn't tried to make b4dwolf go broke from inflicting fines for smak talking in local.

BU, I think they are looking for alliances under 500, we don't really qualify for this thread...
Kainos Kerensky, when I grow up I want to be as cool as you. Kainos Kerensky is very brave and very accomplished, he told me so himself.
If you see Kainos Kerensky in a fleet, he is probably the FC (his ego wouldn't let him sit back). DO NOT KILL HIM, he will do more to help his own opposition than his own fleet. You are better off leaving him alive and letting him help you. Just keep calling your primaries as if the fleet containing Kainos Kerensky doesn't have a real FC... cause they don't.

The main issue with most of the smaller alliances, is that although most of the time they have great players and awesome fleets, is that they fail to work together to make any sort of real impact. But still though, can't underestimate them.
Shout out to Dark Taboo, TAD, DFG, and The Golden Rule. And shout out to the reds, our bigger neighbors, AAA, UK, and Atlas, and the Noir Mercs that pass through every now and then

Pitch Black Legion is a 100% wormhole alliance. So we don't have anything to defend.Aha Typical :-) This very small alliance ( i think something like 200 members not sure )is a pure Dutch speaking alliance because we want todo PvP on a smaller scale and with a group that can work together in same language. This is a pure fun alliance that invades in 0.0 to get some nice fights / kills. We lose a lot to but we are very active with gangs up to 25 and rising.Or gameplay exits in the facts we work on a small force to get kills / fights from the big alliances in 0.0.
Thats about it in a few lines And this is or killboard

Who are some of the smaller allainces who don't typically make threads on the forums who are actually out there doing their thing. This is pretty much a shoutout thread. I would like to see what 100-500 man Alliances actually make a splash and show up on peoples radars. This doesn't have to be 0.0 alliance either, if there is some pirate Alliance making trips through low-sec tough throw their name out.
Not sure what you're after - would suppose there's a LOT of small alliances out there "doing their thing" and hardly getting mentioned in the media. Of course you could be small and still get attention/appreciation if you do things right - experience helps.

Thats funny...
Really... really funny.
You cant be serious can you? When EIA left it was Emergence, Grievance, and EIA. Everyone else had already condensed down into nothing and joined either Emergence and EIA. The war started and Grievance had nothing, and EIA was already packed up to move out to Geminate to fight our old enemy WI.
I wont deny your still their fighting, props to you for either insanity or diligence. I cant say how well or poor your doing, nor do I care. It is rather irritating that select members of your alliance are attempting to make yourselves look better by acting like your being some sort of hero or martyrs, and that everyone else to include EIA ran off. Check with your boss man biggeruniverse, he was contacted well before the IT invasion about coming out to kill WI and he agreed to come. Don't believe me? 3MERG is on The Anathema Coalition blues list, or was until bigger was recontacted and asked if you were coming and we were told no.

A reasonable post on CAOD? WTF LOL
Que flashback . . . fade in . . .
Ok well, I was the founder of the former REIGN Alliance, which bought into all the Dominion Hype spread about by CCP. Thinking we would need a tremendously active player base in order to secure sovereignty (under what was thought to be a massive shift in game mechanics ) we managed to create an alliance that had 150+ members active inside of alliance chat, all day, everyday.
An impressive feat I think, especially since we were based in Empire at the time.
At our peak we had amassed industrialists, PVP'ers and manufacturers, and had laid claim to nearly a dozen wormholes, complete with large deathstars and rorq's inside for the sake of industry. A limited and growing capital fleet, the works . . .
Sounds pretty decent right? Well no not really . . .
Do you know what happens when an extremely active alliance, based inside of empire, gets wardec by a small 30 man PVP corporation? Well first you send out wartime instructions VIA EVE mail (that no one reads), you put together a large PVP fleet (which the enemy never engages because they want your soft targets instead) and finally you make it extremely clear that you have neutral alts that can go shopping for your player base so they don't need to be hunted inside of the market hubs.
And then you loose nearly 2 billion ISK worth of ships and assets in the first 8 hours of the war Because ABSOLUTELY NO ONE payed attention to anything the leadership said. Lets hear it for the fool who undocked the charon inside of jita filled with random crap and didn't bother tell anyone that he was under attack until he was into structure \0/ and maybe a standing ovation for the vegetables who felt the need to move their entire life savings within haulers during that same war. The kind of stupidity one cannot possibly plan for ensued . . .
Having only lead and experienced PVP based corporations before, I became quite disenchanted with the smoldering pile of crap I accidentally created. Oooopss... I pooped an alliance
So we "trimmed the fat", held some hands and passed out some pacifiers (mostly to the carebears who felt the need whine about every single little thing on an almost daily basis) The PVP'ers on the other hand got along splendidly, and we worked out a deal to merge with, and lead, two other alliances, both of which were former sov holder. However, by now it was clear that CCP was changing their minds about what dominion was going to be, and so we changed our objectives.
It was about then everyone realized that Dominion was mostly a farce and we were all chasing pipe dreams. I announced that I was done holding hands and handing out pacifiers, and when their were no more cookies to be had, some of you lucky folks here in CAOD ended up absorbing these tools into your very own alliances
Enjoy them... I know I did . . .
Back to leading a PVP training corporation for me. When all is said and done, even if it didn't epically fail cascade, being the head of a 1,000 man alliance truly sucked. I don' know how (or why) you people do it. If given the choice I would never do it again.

But tell me, what has happened to the EIA membership? I remember when EIA had like 400 - 500+ members. It seems you're down to 167 members now. Kainos is such a charming and inspirational person, a real likeable guy. I'm sure your drop in numbers has nothing to do with him.

To answer your question....
We were never 400, we were at 300. Just very active for our small numbers. We had one corp that was never around that just kinda trolled on in their closet all day, that left because they were anti social and didnt fit with us. Another one was a corp of like 30 guys that never logged on, except for 2-3 of them and they came to a conclusion they were taking up space. And then another corp had a difference of opinion in leadership and had an internal split. We are currently bringing in some of those members while the remainder are reforming to rejoin us later once they get a better member base.
So there is your answer about our membership. Hope it helps.
