I read somewhere that storyline missions' rewards (the isk payout and item value) were loosely based upon the level (and presumably the rewards) of the last mission run before receiving the storyline mission. Unfortunately, I can't find the thread again. Can anybody confirm or deny this? More importantly, does it affect the faction standing increase?
I'm trying to grind my standings up with the Sisters to show my Gallente and Minmatar brethren that I've seen the error of my ways. Maybe eventually they'll even stop shooting me on sight. I'm running Lvl 1's to quickly get storylines, and I was wondering if I should switch to Lvl 2 or 3's the last mission or two to improve the faction standing increase.
Testing the theory out now, just wondering if anybody knows.

Storylines are given only when you complete 16 missions of the SAME level for a faction. So you won't get one until you do 16 L1s. Doing L2s or L3s at the end would have no effect (and would, in fact, not give you a storyline at all.)
That said, the faction standing increase gained from a storyline after 16 L4s is larger than the result of one after 16 L1s.

Ah. I've been sitting here running Lvl 2's for the last 45 minutes, wondering if I grossly miscounted the number of Lvl 1's I had run or something. Apparently either I misread that thread or they were full of it.
Thanks for clearing that up for me.

I am sure you used to be able to run 15 low level missions then do a one level 4 for the 16th mission and get a level 4 storyline. I was not aware the system has changed.

It's been that way for quite a while. Don't recall the exact change time but it wasn't that long after RMR iirc.

It's been the way that Jai'Lei described at least since I started playing back near the beginning of 2006. I remember being told what he said, then keeping a pad next to me keeping track of my missions and getting a storyline exactly on the 16th mission of the same level I completed. ---
