I read on your website that you be implementing the importing of data from EVE Central. Will you also be implementing the importation of data from EVE-MarketData.com, as well?

With no ability to set the import location... hmm... am i missing something?
Nvm.. think i found it...
Can you clarify how do you wish to import orders: via files or via cache? Also write all your steps.

Perfect. I look forward to this feature as I use EVE Mentat more when I am at work where I cannot install EVE (no admin rights ).
Another question/feature request. Would it be possible to include a feature to allow for the quick importation of market data based on the characters orders?
As I currently imagine such a feature, you would use the IGB to interface with EVE Mentat (simlar to how EVEMon does) and click a button that would scan through the market only for the buy/sell orders that the character has active. (Did I explain that well?)
And, I want to offer my Kudos. As a part time trader, my profits have increased by at least 20% since using EVE Mentat. Thanks much!

Yes, quite well.
Actually, this feature already implemented for internal testing. I think it will be available in two releases. ----------------------------------------- EVE Mentat - true trade tool. |

Are you able to read price or historical price data out of the cache? I assume we would also have to actually click on the price history screen to get this information?

Yes, historial data can be read from cache. And yes, there is need to activate tab with history graph to push data into cache.
I plan to support this feature in the future. ----------------------------------------- EVE Mentat - true trade tool. |

Just started using this app and it seems really useful. However, I've noticed that it appears I have to manually update certain API checks (transactions, for example) even though there's a timer to remind me that the data needs to be refreshed.
Is there any way that these checks can be automated?

Hi,
I switched to 1.1.18.629, and since the "File Import" function for my orders and market doesn't work anymore.
I viewed the log.txt file and it says :

Am I doing something wrong ?

Edited by: DraconisBeta on 27/06/2011 09:10:59 As I reinstalled EveMentat, I found that it does show nomore expired/fulfilled orders for any character. Tried to modify filters, to manually import order list (but seems it cannot find manual downloaded order lists)...nothing
do you know if there is any issue atm?
My eve installation is not the default one (C/program files/ccp), but it is C/games/ccp)..does that matter?
EDIT: found that was incarna issue...Ill wait the new patch, good luck and thanks

Well, now that the API provides more than 1000 transactions at a time, it's not as important. But considering I'm not at my desktop 24/7, and I go through several thousand transactions a day (sometimes more than 1000 an hour) the API limit was causing the results to lag behind my actual wallet totals.
I still think auto-update would be useful, even if it's less necessary than before.

Actually, EVE Mentat can download up to few weeks of data using subsequent API calls (under single update operation). The same is for the journal. Let me know if this feature doesn't work. ----------------------------------------- EVE Mentat - true trade tool |

Those who miss order history feature can test new pre-release build with workaround - EVE Mentat 1.1.20.654. It's temporary and not ideal solution but it's better than nothing.
Also multiple client support added to market cache reader in this release.
Note, this release is not tested yet, so use it at your own risk. Also please let me know via e-mail about any issues with this test build. |
