Hi guys, I have 2 accounts, 1 is a mining account (I tend to love mining operations and have led some mining operations in the past for a corporation) The other account is a protection account (basically I can solo mining operations, not in 0.0 space though... I am still very squishy)
I have been away from the game for 2 years and have just now reactivated my accounts and I am hoping to find a corp to help me get back on my feet and recognize all of the features and ways to play the game. At the moment I am interested in ratting and mining but somewhere down the road wish to to some pvp eventually.
Any corps out there willing to help out a newb to the game again? Character stats will become available once I am able to log into the game. (whenever the server comes back online...)

Hiya,
We're a corp that might be worth looking at.
We mine and mission run but also have a PvP division with a very experienced PvP Commander running it.
We like to help out newer players to the game. We have miners in corp already and can run Orca supported ops. We're a fun corp, 50+ people. We're based in Sinq Laison and mainly EU based.
If any of this sounds promising then feel free to convo me in-game.

[21]
New Eden Regimental Navy is looking for a few good pilots to come join us in high sec operations.
Currently we run missions and do mining operations out of the Goram area and are starting to work our way out into the Providence region working with CVA.
Corp offers Orca supported mining ops, pay system for miners/haulers, support for missioner in the way of fleets and modules and cheap ships. Additionally the corp has an active exploration group, and we are developing a PVP/Defense Wing to support and protect our miners
We also have an active alliance known as the Rebel Alliance of New Eden (RANE) and a corp/alliance website located here: NERN Portal which contains our corp pay system for miners, forums, and teamspeak server information, additionally we have private wiki and a live news feed for corp/alliance events. We also now have RANE Radio, a streaming radio stream that is avaible on our home page via IE or direct feed is http://www.nernonline.net:8000/live
Here is a little Q&A:
Where is your HQ, and which systems do you usually mine in?
We are currently working out the Goram in the Tash-Murkon region; we have corp offices located in Goram..
How long are your ops, and about how much m3 do you mine per op?
Op length with vary depending on how people feel. As an orca pilot too it gets really boring sitting there providing bonus' and just pulling cans in. But average op length is 4 hrs. The amount of M3 pulled per op varies but usually 2 and a half freighter full.
How do you distribute earnings after an op is over, particularly if I was using an orca?
We use the mining buddy system; this has been heavily modified and improved by a local tech guru and contains a weighted payout system based on ship type as well as a invoicing system for selling raw ore independently mined. All of which are exclusive to our version. Due to the extensive changes to the system it is now known as LooneyÆs Corp Buddy.
Additionally, LCB works off of raw ore giving the corp a better profit margin and the ability to make cheap ships for people. Ore prices are set by the CEO and are 25% below the highest sale order on the market so that selling us raw ore is worth it.
Do you manufacture at all or are the minerals just sold directly to stations?
All ore is used in the production of ships/modules for the corp/market.
Do you do any mission running?
You will find people run missions daily in corp. There is always a fleet up of missioners, just need to ask. The goal of our missioners is to get the corp standings up high enough for a high sec pos in Tush-Murkon region.
How old is the corp and do you think it will be around for a while? Most of the mining corps I've joined closed almost instantly, or within a month. :(
New Eden Regimental Navy is over a year old. The leadership staff is too stubborn to give it up. At one point we had three active members but maintained and started profiting. Now NERN is sitting at nearly 90 toons and actively growing in a controlled fashion.
What's your average age?
Average age of the corp is about 20-30. We have one youngin cause he's cool and very talented when it comes to eve and people on up into their 40's. Additionally we are not a corp of noobs. We have players from alpha times on up.
Do you mine in wormholes, hidden belts or low sec, or do you plan on doing it eventually?
With the continued growth of exploration in corp it seems as though daily we are getting hidden belts to mine, combat sites to clear and worm holes to jump. Though we rarely go for the worm holes but that may change.
CEO is posting from work; replay to post or join our pub chat in-game NEW NAVY. If you don't see me online. I might be on Bellum Veritas that is my alt.
Thanks,
Nelios Ran Chief Executive Officer New Eden Regimental Navy Executor of Rebel Alliance of New Eden

Petals of Derketo
Do you have vent? -We do have a large vent that not only features our player group on EVE, but on other MMOs as well.
Please know that I am extremely a new player... -We pride ourselves in our ability to handle new players and turn them on to their goals in EVE.
Anything else I should truly know?
What level of experience in what activities can we provide? -Our experience covers most aspects of EVE. We have veterans who have retired from 0.0 space and long-time industrialists.
What options for PvP do we provide? -We encourage, train and regularly participate in PvP patrols. Low-sec and Wormholes are our primary means of finding fights, however we have experienced players (including myself) who have lived successfully in 0.0. As such, we think it's important to teach others how to at the very least, move about safely in those hostile environs.
Additionally, we prefer to keep our miners safe. In the past, those who have declared war on us have met with our core PvP players. This resulted in the offending Alliance pleading for a day of cease-fire, while they retracted the wardec.
What mining activities can you provide us with? -With an active and experienced exploration team, we do several mining operations. We have two fronts here: High-sec and Wormhole mining. High-sec is our fallback, with wormholes being our bread and butter.
While inherently more dangerous, our corporation has never lost a miner to a wormhole since Apocrypha's release. The profits here are worth it and you'll find that we can provide you with a fast-track on ISK generation for your goals: be they the mighty Hulk or a ship for combat
How old are we? What size? What age group? -Petals of Derketo has its roots in Age of Conan. Many of our players there became disillusioned there and we formed the Corporation on EVE together in January of this year. The guild itself has been around since August 08.
-We are currently a relatively small corporation with a solid playerbase, that we're looking to expand upon.
-All of our players are between 21-42
What about infrastructure? What do we do when there are no operations? -We encourage that members not only participate in Corporation Ops, but aid the Corporation when doing their own thing. In this respect, we make use of intra-corporation Contracts. The corporation buys the minerals and ore from you at competitive prices compared to the local market.
Essentially, you're almost like a Freelance Agent within the corporation, able to support the Corporation (and your wallet!) in your own time.
Hope this extra detail helps make your choice a little tougher! __________

oh wow, i'm impressed! You kind of opened my eyes there :) For a new player such as myself, where are you guys located? What security status space are you in? Seeing as I am relatively new, 0.0 space wouldn't be the best spot for me. At war with anybody? If so, what should I be aware of? If not then great for me for now as I can figure stuff out in peach without the worry of wartags.
You almost grabbed me however I need these questions answered before I make my final decision :)
You guys have an external website?

Wow lots of posts of corps recruiting. Majority don't want new players it seems :P
I will definately try to get a hold of you Acallan sometime soon ingame and chat. I'd love to talk more and get to know the personality of your corp. And once I get my main computer running again this week we will have to speak over vent along with your current members. I like to look at the environment that I would like to be a part of by speaking with those I will be talking with and doing stuff with for the months and maybe years to come!
Thank you so much for your interest :D I'll be in contact soon! (if I remember how...)

As of right now here is my ranking!
1) Petals of Derketo 2) 94th Joint Space Command 3) New Eden Regimental Navy
I will still have to do an interview over vent with all 3 of these corps. (havn't heard much from the new eden guys lately but will see if their still interested)
Petals have really opened my eyes to them but the 94th (even though they are very small) are very close aswell!
I can't wait to talk to you all in regards to a new home for me :)
