Anyone have any helpful hints as to how to kill a well tanked nighthawk 1 vs.1 or even 2 vs. 1?

Neut his cap to zero and do as much EM damage as you can. Nighthawk has naturally high thermal and kinetic resists, but base shield resist to EM is zero. ______________________________________________________ Isn't it enough to know that I ruined a pony making a gift for you? |

I haven't killed any recently, but looking at the Nighthawk.
Tackle it, neut it, tank kinetic.
Neuting him should be your main focus, alot of Nighthawk setups are perma run faction large shield boosters + AB.
gankgeddon / domi I would recommend
2v1, falcon / curse

2x Gank plate Harbinger = Dead Nighthawk. He might get one of you first though.

Edited by: Neuronai on 18/11/2009 20:41:18 Edited by: Neuronai on 18/11/2009 20:40:17 I almost solo'd a NH in a Myrm on SiSi today, it was probably a **** fit I guess...
Anyway, either bring multiple gank/buffered ships or a ship that can tank the DPS and slowly eat at the NH's buffer.
Edit: If going for the latter, you gotta hope you have enough DPS to break his peak recharge...Overloading your guns is extremely useful if not essential at this point.

Will probably have two invul fields too, even turned off you should expect 44-45% --- Please resize your signature to the maximum allowed of 400 x 120 pixels. Zymurgist |

A friend of mine was able to tank Navy Mega, Dominix, Niddinhgor, Myrmidon, Harbringer, scorpion, tempest and a few others in his buffer Nighthawk with a carrier repping him. The carrier didn't aggress and he drove them off with just the Nighthawk. He poped the Scorpion, which was neuting him, then got to work on the Tempest, when they all docked up.
It was epic. "All a gun does is focus an explosion in one direction" Project Mayhem Corp - We are a friendly corporation until it is profitable for us to be otherwise. |

I'm very very surprised that their Niddy didn't rep the Scorp through his damage. Either way, bringing in capital remote repping takes the question of "what 1-2 ships can kill a solo NH" away...
