Thank god for insurance, but every since the last patch I've been getting freezes all the time when I alt-tab do other things.
I know I read somewhere that this was being addressed in Dominion for OS X, but is that the case? Or is it just me?

It's a problem of the Memory leaks they found. It should be fixed in Dominion.

let's say your screen resolution is 1280x1024 and Eve is at the native resolution in fullscreen.
You switch to windowed mode, and the resolution remains at 1280x1024. You then have the apple menu bar and the eve window top bar (what you use to drag it around). That accounts for maybe 40-50 pixels.
Those 50 pixels must stay on the screen and on top of each other, which means that the eve window (which is already 25px hidden due to the menu bar) gets lowered another 25px which makes it hide that little patch of window (usually the clock line in eve)

There are ways to fix this. You can use SwitchResX to define custom resolutions, which in turn show up as valid options under EVE. Just don't run full screen with those resolutions. ---- FREE Explorer Lead Megalomanic EVE Null-Sec Player Influence Map http://dl1.eve-files.com/media/corp/Veritefw/FWinf |

In the escape menu of eve you can lower the resolution, allowing you to see your desktop aswell.
