And for the record, I "get" the thread. You wanted to show the world how effin awesome you are against carebears. I get it.

LOL! I remember these guys (SEALS) trying to recruit my old carebear corp. We soon decided they were terrible at EVE, and we shouldn't. Glad to see somebody proving us right. Damn, what terrible fits.
Do members of theirs still end every sentence with a :) ?

Ok, normally I don't condone the use of RRer's. But what the hell? 3 BC's and a Raven should have obliterated you before the domi could even get there. Even with the domi RRing, with a decently compatent group, would have killed the domi, then you.
Those were some serious ****fits, and those usually good PVP ships (even the raven if you know what your doing) needed to be put outta their misery. --------------------------------------------

They had a fleet like that and LOST??? You had, like, one gun and a couple ECMs!!!
Wow! NVG players, IMHO. I think they took so long to attack because they knew they'd loose. Still trash talking over a flipped can? What the heck was in it that they got so worked up about?
I've been here three weeks, and I'm not naive enough to talk/behave like that. Thanks. I thought I was doing poorly in the PvP battles because I've lost all three. Now I feel better. LOL
I took my cheaply fitted destroyer with no repair modules, jammers, counter measures or shield enhancements against a well-fitted NPC battleship, with more/better guns, armor and shields and won - took half an hour and I left the battle with 35% of my structure, but I still won. And here they lose against a dude with just one gun and a couple of countermeasures.
The video shows that they do not know how to fight. Is it just me, or did they not do/try any maneuvers? Between that and the fit they threw over a flipped can is hilarious. And here I thought I was a lousy player. Glad I didn't join 'em when they asked. I might join a whining group that fights good, or reinforce a weak but stoic fleet, but not a weak and whiny fleet like that.
I've only had one can flipped and had a flashback to my childhood. during lunch in 7th grade, I went to the bathroom and left my wallet on the table. I came back and the $5 in it was missing. Got mad, found out who flipped the wallet and hit him; he'd already spent it. My dad normally defends me when I've been called on the carpet for getting p4ed at being wronged and he hated that school as well. But, this time he just laughed and said: "The whole point of a wallet is to hold valuable stuff like money and ID. It's your fault for leaving it on the table. Just remember not to do that again."
After that first can, I no longer eject stuff I want to hang on to or that has ISK value. You don't want your can flipped, don't leave it where it can be flipped. Just get off your arse, get to a station and sell/reprocess/whatever and come back for more. If you ever see me eject a can, help yourself.

I would not have been to hard to kill in that Domi since i had to toss the fit together as Lexa was already under fire.

If you've only been playing for three weeks, you might not realize it, but it's possible to group identical weapons. They only take up one icon when grouped. It allows you to only click one button to start firing and make one command to reload or switch ammo. Look at the video closely and you'll see the number 6 on a red background in the lower left of the gun icon; that's the number of weapons in the group.
Still, a prior poster is absolutely correct. If properly fitted, a Harbinger/Hurricane/Myrmidon/Raven combo should have obliterated the OP's Myrmidon. That was just horrible. ______________________________________________________ Isn't it enough to know that I ruined a pony making a gift for you? |

lol, fitting ships like that is reason enough to kill them.
I remember the first time I heard about you, my friend had just joined hull miners a couple years ago, and refered to you and your hyperion as "phasing in and out of reality".
he had a rather high opinion of you.
that many of normally good pvp ships should have had that, I don't have words for the fail they unleashed there.

LOL Yes. Okay. That explains it. How do I do that? I don't have more than one kind on my ship at the moment, but I am curious.
Personally I keep a variety of guns on my ship. 7 free high slots with one Howizer with EMP for the shields, two different hybrids, two different autos and two different railguns; all with different ammo.
The weak point in my ships is me. There's a lot of stuff that I cannot fit for lack of training, including training that helps with things like the capacitor, cpu, power, etc. I've only a week to go, before I have the fitting ability I really need to survive. Then, I can focus on mastery of things like trade, science, etc. At that point I'll decide if I want to join - or perhaps start - a corporation.
One thing about loosing fights, and one of the two reasons I return to low sec, is that you really figure out what the weapons do. That's how I learned the current turret fitting style. I've recently tested it on some high-end NPCs with measurable improvement over just the previous two days.

What's W-space? And, no. Doesn't look familiar. The last guy to PK me was much smaller than that; in a cruiser, I think. Still smashed my ship in something like ten seconds(I was already damaged from some NPCs). What ever it was, it definitely wasn't a Battleship.
So. . . How do you stack weapons in the console?

Ok assuming this isn't just a well disguised troll...
You never ever have more than two different weapon systems on a ship. And those two are generally one type of gun and one type of missile launcher. And even mixing that is rare.
generally you use one weapon system! Only one. So only artillery cannons, or only hybrid guns, or only lasers.
Then you only use one size. Not two small guns one large gun and two medium guns.
And then only one type of those guns. so only 75mm gatling guns, not 2 75mm and 2 150mm.
There might be exceptions sure, but those are rare and only applay if you know what you are doing.(Or are somewhere with nothing on the market and you really really need every scrap of dps you can get... but that is an emergency and not really apliciable to the ideal)
This has several advantages:
One, all your guns have the same range. So once you are at your optimal range you can do maximum damage.
Two, eventual boni of the ship apply to all guns, getting the most of you ship and guns.
Three, if you are shot down you won't be laughed at in the forums.

either in the fitting window, press shift and drag the guns on top of each other.
Or in mid flight, same procedure your guns need to be unloaded though.

I started reading this and imagined that one myrm would have a bit of trouble against another myrm + an ishkur.
Then I noticed the part about your friend and the RR BS. I assumed thats how it would end.
I got to the part where it was 4 BC + ishkur vs 1 Myrm.
I couldn't understand how you survived that, as I've been on the wrong side of each one of those BC's you were facing in a 1v1 situation. The times I made it out with my ship intact were all close.
So I sneaked ahead and had a peek at the fittings.
I believe it was somewhere around that time I was beaten unconscious with the WTF stick.
As I came around, I was left to question with what in gods name these people were doing thinking they could intimidate anyone?
Rails? Many mixed guns? NO MIDS OR LOWS, wrong tank, NO TANK, CARGO EXPANDERS, everyone with a salvager so they can fight for the 80k isk from your wreck.
What amazes me is that they showed at all. Should have just flown up to you an ejected, tbh.

Has anyone considered it's possible they were being a different type of idiot and had no fittings in-system and just grabbed big hulls out of the corporate hanger?
Still stupid, but I just can't loose enough faith in humanity to believe that any group of people would fit that poorly for combat by choice.

Ok. Thanks guys. I was coming at this from a completely bogus angle. Considering how hard it is to know what's waiting for you in a 'roid field, I was thinking in terms of damage type(EMP for shields, Explosives of armor, etc), versatility, (Opponent "A" has all their shields maxed out, but Opponent "B"has EMP resistant armor), and range variety instead of range and HP, like I should have. Damage does seem to work its way in from shields.
Could this be the same philosophy that we see taken to the moronic extreme by those guys you reverse ganked? If they're that new as me, then talking smack is the core stupidity here and fitting that a noob like me finds ******ed is the icing on the cake.
Also, given how experienced players find it so obvious, I can see how I could be suspected of trolling. Because this is my first MMORPG my experience with EVE could be measured with negative integers. Now, I think it's just on a couple points positive.
