Lately I've been thinking of a proteus, I know most people say they're a waste of sp and such in general but I think they're pretty neat.
Anyhow, the fit I was trying to do was a unscannable, cloaking, bubble breaking, probing, smallish tank with some dps to fend off tacklers.
And yes, I know unscannable and cloaking is redundant, but I would like to be able to tease people who were trying to probe me out, by uncloaking, and maybe turning eccm on and off just to screw with em.
The main problem is I always seem to run out of cpu when I try to do this. I know I'm probably trying to do too much one ship, but this is the only ship that can get that many different bonuses.
So yea, some help would be nice. Also, I was wondering why the grav rigs don't seem to boost my sensor strength on eft? Any clues?

If I understand what you want to do right, I'd probably do it something like this..
[Proteus, New Setup 2] Medium Armor Repairer II Energized Adaptive Nano Membrane II Energized Adaptive Nano Membrane II Magnetometric Backup Array II Magnetometric Backup Array II
Domination Warp Scrambler 10MN MicroWarpdrive II Conjunctive Magnetometric ECCM Scanning Array I
Covert Ops Cloaking Device II Heavy Electron Blaster II, Antimatter Charge M Heavy Electron Blaster II, Antimatter Charge M Heavy Electron Blaster II, Antimatter Charge M Heavy Electron Blaster II, Antimatter Charge M Medium Unstable Power Fluctuator I Medium Diminishing Power System Drain I
Medium Low Friction Nozzle Joints II Medium Low Friction Nozzle Joints II Medium Auxiliary Thrusters II
Proteus Defensive - Warfare Processor Proteus Electronics - Dissolution Sequencer Proteus Engineering - Augmented Capacitor Reservoir Proteus Offensive - Covert Reconfiguration Proteus Propulsion - Interdiction Nullifier
Warrior II x5
As for the rigs, it increases sensor strength of probes controlled by the ship. Not the actual ships sensor strength. If you're in a gang, consider using the sensor strength ganglink, it allows you to redo the setup pretty drastically. Parrots, commence!

Pretty horrible fit really, bear in mind that all that ECCM is massively stacking penalized, and you will need a LG Halo set for that. Gives a sig radius of 137, with a sensor strength of 126, about 1,087 value, right on the edge of what a maxxed out covops pilot can get a 100% fix on.
[Proteus, New Setup 2] Magnetometric Backup Array II Magnetometric Backup Array II [empty low slot] [empty low slot] [empty low slot] [empty low slot]
ECCM - Magnetometric II ECCM - Magnetometric II ECCM - Magnetometric II
[empty high slot] [empty high slot] [empty high slot] [empty high slot] Covert Ops Cloaking Device II Sisters Expanded Probe Launcher, Core Scanner Probe I
Proteus Defensive - Nanobot Injector Proteus Electronics - Emergent Locus Analyzer Proteus Engineering - Augmented Capacitor Reservoir Proteus Offensive - Covert Reconfiguration Proteus Propulsion - Interdiction Nullifier
Hobgoblin II x5 Warrior II x10 Hornet EC-300 x5
Fill the remaining slots as you see fit, cba to do it myself after wasting all those slots to ECCM.
Btw, that interdiction nulifier is broken atm, you can have it fitted and still get caught in a bubble, and agility with that is abysmal, not to mention it eats up a lowslot.
Also, gravity cap rigs (i assume you refer to those) only make your probes have a higher sensor strength, do not affect the ship's own sensor strength.

Ah, should've mentioned. The first step would be to gather up a Spur set. Without that I wouldn't even try to get unprobable.
Yes, they get stacking penalized, however, there's not much room to do a complete fit any other way. You can sacrifice another mid for another ECCM and be done with it, however that would cost you your tackle/and or MWD - which in this case is pretty much the same thing. You could possibly replace the mwd with a web, but it'd grant you even less.
The blasters are mainly slot fillers, you can size them up if you wish, they're basically there to give that extra oompf if they for some reason end up to close and before your warriors digest. Obviously under the presumtion that you're there mainly as a scout, eating naive tacklers. Parrots, commence!

Edited by: Ammy Azimuth on 31/10/2009 03:53:14 Which one is better? Halo's or Spur's to make it unprobable?
Ah, that explains the grav rigs. So theres no rigs that increase sensor strength? With regards to the nullifier, thats getting fixed in dominion I hear. How many eccm's before it gets stacked to hell?
And what's with all the agility rigs? Nothing else to put in it? Or is this to counter the nullifier which I thought had agility bonuses though.
Oh, I know this is ridiculously restrictive, but yea mwd would be nice. I know that reduces the med's even further but yea.... I'm usually alright at fitting ships, but this is causing me lots of difficulty.

If you ABSOLUTELY want it to be unprobablable, spur. Granted, this will also need 2 ECCM and the Dissolution sub, but I can get it to down to 160/210 sig/sensor with my skills. If you just want it "on the edge" of being unprobable, use halo (which is what I use). With the same subsystem (Dissolution sequencer) I have 127/120, which is close enough most of the time. Plus, I know that my implants will be helpful still if I hop into, say, a rupture or arbi
