As the CEO I try to remain positive and upbeat about LYII. But I have to say the last few months have been a bit trying, between me being away for sea trials, wife pregnant, a few loss's we took, and currently holding onto over 30bil isk in various materials that just wont seem to go the right direction price wise.
I can say I am proud of this team though, they have held things together keeping the ROI above 4%. I hope this month will hit 5 or 6% but to be honest right now that just may not happen.
We are always looking for new ways to keep isk flowing in with the least amount of work though, and we will continue to do our best to serve our Share Holders.
If you expected insane returns on this IPO I do apologize, and even though my personal goals are much higher than 4-5% returns right now, I would have to say after paying out auditors, accountants, and such, paying out 4-5% on a 70bil isk IPO is not bad as it sounds.
We will continue to strive to be the standard for all future IPO's and we challenge any other IPO to report better, be more upfront and honest, and bring in higher ROI.

April Financial Report
The final April report is now available for viewing here
I am rather displeased to announce that this months dividends will be 2.06%
It has been a difficult month for a number of reasons. We have had a few tribulations with decisions surrounding closing and restructuring a couple of divisions, and considered not paying dividends until next month when the picture was clearer. However Proton Power and Clotho Aglaia have worked hard to finalise this before the end of the month and we are happy to present a final accurate report and confirm dividends will be paid within the next couple of days.
As PP stated in his previous posts, we were on target for an ROI of 4.6%, despite speculation bringing in very little profit. However, as reported by PP a few days ago, our new trader Gyruth turned out to be a scammer, and cleared his corp wallet of ISK and assets on the 26th. He traded for a few weeks before doing this, so it is not clear whether this was planned from the start or not. In all he got away with around 2.2 billion in ISK and assets. The loss to LYII is 2 billion ISK, as the additional amount was unreported profit that Gyruth had generated on the capital. His access was limited to one wallet an minimal roles to minimise the damage from this type of risk. At this stage there does not appear to be any other LYII assets missing, as deliveries hangars held very little assets.
On a more positive note, the deficit that we have been carrying for the last couple of months in respect of unrealised gains/losses on speculation stock, has now swung substantially back in our favour. At current buy order prices the potential deficit stands at less than 1 billion, compared to 6 and 7 billion in February and March, and disappears completely if we were to value at current sell prices. Hopefully this quarter will see a swing into the positive and some decent profits in the coming months.
As always, any questions or comments are welcome.

Could you clear up a minor query with the report:
Page 3 (Profit & Loss) shows 0 for trading division 2 and -2bil for trading division 3 Page 4 shows 2.1 bil invested in trading division 2 and 0 invested in trading division 3
Was there no trading for division 2 in this month?

Division 3 shows 0 invested because this was Gyrth's division, which started at 2 bil and has been written off in the month.
Division 2 is Clotho's station trading division which was liquidated this month for Clotho take over a different trading division. The final liquidated balance in the end was less than 20m over the nav we were carrying in the accounts, so we reported no profit on the division for the month, and rolled this small amount into his new division. So yes, there was trading, but no profit.

I'm glad dividends are not retained in the end, if there is a bad month it doesn't make any difference to delay, it will be the same in the end. Let's see what brings us the new month. Any ideas to speculate on the new expansion?

Dividends were never being held up because of a bad month. They were held up so we could workout and close some accounts and have the time to do so.

You're right in the reasons, didn't want to imply that's the reason, but that it ends being no difference in paying good this month and bad the next or paying bad this month and good the next (accounting for the bad month now or the next, I understand the retaining was to not pay more than real profit if there were loses). Not a big difference with the percentages involved anyway.
A lot of items are going down in price lately, I hope the expansion move up the things a bit in the demand side.

May Mid-Month Report
This month has seen our speculation stock take some very positive shifts in value. We are currently holding 6 lines of stock, some of which are showing unrealised losses, and a couple that are showing hefty unrealised gains. We have taken the decision to hold onto these climbing stocks a while longer, with the hope of a very significant distribution over the next couple of months. This does mean that the profits are tied up in stock and as such, actual realised profit will be low for May. Dividends will be minimal as some of LYII's other activities have been dropped due to underperformance, and due to losing staff (Gyruth). Net assets currently stand at 75 billion, reflecting a net gain on speculation of 5 billion.
Month end report will be published as normal.

May - Final Report
The final May report is available for viewing here
As stated in a previous post, our speculation stock has swung in the right direction, and we are now in a position where we are waiting to cash out at the right time. We still have a couple of items that are showing a surplus and a couple showing a deficit, but two lines in particular are showing hefty gains already and we expect these will bring some great dividends in the next couple of months.
Speculation sales have been minimal this month, and some of our other activities have ceased, as explained in the previous month's postings.
Dividends for this month will be 16,961 per share, a monthly ROI of 1.7%

Dividends and Salary paid for May 2010.
Overall as the numbers suggest not a great month, has not really been a great quarter. Between the loss of 2bil isk scam, and market moving so quickly I have not been able to cash in on my speculations as of yet.
The main sources of income are from Micko and his 10bil bond he holds with LYII, and Clotho and his trading. Next month we will see a bit more isk from another 9bil bond I issued earlier this month that comes to a close.
The goal is to cash out on 2 speculation items in the month of June as well, but I will only do this if the numbers are were I want them, currently 1 is about 50% there, and the other is about 75% there. Then once it does hit these numbers, I need to offload my entire stock without crashing the price, so have to be a little careful.
I understand this month was exceptionally low dividends, and the past 3 months have been nothing to brag about, so with that said, if you want to cash out of LYII just contact me and I will buy the shares back for 1mil isk each (Original IPO Value).
Thanks again to all those that are involved with LYII in anyway, from being a trader, bond holder, or share holder. Thanks again.

I'd pay 2% over the initial value for up to 2.5 billion worth of shares.
