Has someone thought of this before? I mean we have this in player created channels and it's been used for all sorts of things, but I think it would add a very good way of informing corp/alliance members about all sorts of stuff (seems people are too lazy to read corp mails anyway).
Suggestions? CCP... any comment plz? Pretty please???

Yes it's been requested before, but it's still a good idea. It makes me wonder why you can set an MOTD on channels you create but not on a corp channel, especially if your CEO, Director or Comms Officer. ------------------------------------------------ You either need a punch up the throat or a good shag.
Nobody round here is offering the second one therefore your choices are limited! |

I thought about that today. I totally support this idea. Directors / Executors have rights? Mute / not Mute?
I rather like the idea that you can't shut somebody up in corp until they're gone. It allows them to speak their mind, tell everyone if they've been royally screwed; or on the other hand, try to wreck havoc and discredit the leadership.
Perhaps this doesn't need to be changed. But a MOTD would be very very handy, especially with the Eve-Mail system the way it is at the moment. I'm sure that with Dominion it will be simpler to get short-notice information over to your fellow corp mates.

/heartily signed.
Desperately needed. Moderation/settings on corp+alliance channel would be nice, but not AS badly needed.

yep definitely been needed for a while... this is one of the few things i still see lurking around after over a year of inactivity... it's almost a must have in any game with some form of guild function... ~~~Crazy People Think They're Sane. Sane People Know They're Crazy.~~~ |

Having no moderation tools on corp/alliance is crap. It has been mention before with no comment by cpp. They must not have the hardware to do something that is so advanced, or they just dont care.

Edited by: Dev7 on 08/12/2009 01:15:07 This is much needed. I also suggest linking for these new bulletins. Like adding bulletin link to corporate MOTD, corporate mails or into corp chat. Same story in alliance level.

This has been suggested for years, and has always been a good idea. A similar suggestion, which I also support, is the option to add a brief MOTD to local chat in systems where you hold sovreignty, giving a little more personality to the held space and removing the need to leave messages in the form of floating cans.

I support this idea. And waiting to remove people from corp for 24h is **** "I long for death, not because I seek peace, but because I seek the war eternal" |
