Hi all! Here is a quick update on the issues following Apocrypha 1.5.1.
- The warp tunnel effect not displaying correctly - Resolved on our internal servers. - Unable to hear anything in EVE Voice - Resolved on our internal servers. - Various keyboard-related issues - Resolved on our internal servers.
Additional fixes: - Two memory leaks have been found and fixed. This should help stability and clear up the alt-tab issue.
If you know an issue which has not been mentioned here, please file a detailed bug report about the issue and we will look into it.
Thanks!

Awesome news!
Can we expect to see these changes before Dominion, with Dominion, or is there no ETA? (No Voice is really hurting me during Fleet Operations).
Regardless of when the fixes are going live: Thanks for making things better, CCP! --------------- *1) Do CCP, eve-online makers, should make more surver ?

You say "Various keyboard-related issues - Resolved on our internal server" the term "various keyboard issues" include mac unicode problem ?

I have just asked TransGaming about this, and the answer is no. Unicode support is a new (large) task rather than a bug fix.

Any news of probing widgets disappearing when launching more than 1 probe? It has been bug reported, just got a generic "This report has been attached to a defect" reply. This bug kinda makes Whale space hard to pew pew in.

Just a quickie, this is good response on such issues. For Transgaming issues I'm glad you are keeping them on their toes CCP, in the past response on such things has been atrocious. Thanks for asking and relaying :D This is good stuff

Sorry for the late reply.
The probe issue is in our defect tracking system and we have a solid reproducible case for it. I do not have any time estimate for when the issue will be resolved.
The cursor issue is still difficult to get a solid reproducible case for and therefore we are unable to track down and resolve the issue. If you have any suggestions or have any details that you would like to give us, please do so in a bug report.

I'm not a technical expert by any means, and I can't really help with debugging report. Apologies.
I can report however that if growing use of memory while playing eve is a memory leak, then it is still there. Alt-Tab still freezes the client some of the time.
Its too bad. I enjoyed the brief respite we had when the client seemed to work well. Hope you folks can find out what's going wrong soon, and good speed.
Cheers!

I have to report that the warp tunnel effect and alt tab issues are still there. My client crashes at least 7 or 8 times a night and the tunnel effect is there all the time.
I've created a bug report and was told that more information was required. I submitted more info including the crash report but have yet not received any info. Seems from what Im reading here that its a well known problem. So im wondering why I wasn't just told that instead of stalling me by asking me for more information?
I hope this gets fixed real soon. If its any help here's my sys info and a Eve crash report.

The probe bug is easy enough to fix for those of you who haven't figured it out. Launch all your probes, move them around (if you can see them), then close your scanner for a few seconds. After you re-open the scan window all of them should appear, if not, try again. This is much easier than constantly re-launching probes.

Could you specify what exactly is require when you say reproducible case because on my client I can almost guarantee the stuck "resize cursor" issue when grabbing almost any UI box and attempting to resize it.
What specifically would you like to see? Is there a debug log I can enable? Something I can use like strace to help trap the issue? I would love to help kill this bug. |

Yeah, I'm very pleased to hear about the EVE-Voice bug issue fix. It's kept me from being able to take part in a good few of my Corp Op's which is pretty unfortunate for me. I'm guessing this is going to go live with Dominion? Or will we be lucky enough to get this before Dominion? If we do, I'll hug you or something :P

Im not sure if the bugs you are talking about are the same ones I see, but:
Probes appear without the "handles" that would allow you to move them. Is this the "probe widget" being talked about? I have to de-activate and re-activate the probe until they appear.
If I grab a window by its top bar and move it up to the top of the screen the window gets stuck to the mouse even after I release the mouse button. I have to move the window away from the top and click the mouse to get it un-stuck. Also if I click the bottom of a window to re-size it, it becomes stuck to the mouse. The only way to un-stick it its to stretch the window all the way to the bottom of the screen and click the mouse. Both of these are quite annoying and completely repeatable.

Having come from using Eve on Wine for the last few years I gotta say the Mac client don't much like complexes. Sometimes no problem, but sometimes upon arrival in a pocket any new icons and textures are not generated. Whole structures not being rendered, overview only has text in a lot of places, dust cloud can be garbled imagery from some other previous views. Also, the client becomes unstable under this condition. Lockups are common.
Remedy is to exit the complex and relog. Relogging while staying in the plex just results in the same but then the display is devoid of all bitmaps except the menus.
----- The Eve Client - A Love Story - The single biggest fix CCP ever did to Eve. Keep it up! |

Hi, In another thread there is talk about a Mac specific patch to be deployed in order to fix the EVE Voice issues. Is there an ETA on this patch, or is going to be fixed on Dominion?
I know its not important, but a date would be nice and keep us on our toes!
Thanks!
