Here is my current Chimera fit,(except I swapped to Sensor Boosters T2), I am about to train logistics V and am not sure if training for a triage mod is worth the time. To fit it I would have to drop 1 shield transporter and replace it with an energy transfer. I have never used an energy transfer and am not sure if they are anygood. The Chimera gets a bonus for it so it cant be all bad. Right now I am set up to perma run the Shield booster, cap stable. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Plan to train for it 6 months after the rest of the carrier skills are done. If you find yourself wishing you had it then train for it.
Its an optional skill. It has a niche but not required.

Triage, while a bit limited, is quite powerful when used right and can turn the tide in the battle. Once you polish your Carrier skills, I'd get it if you plan on spending quite a bit of time flying it.
Plus, Logistics V makes a HUGE difference for Logistic ships, so its not exactly like you are training it purely for Triage. *** Currently Playing: Trolls from Outer Space Current Equipment: VISAcard chain mail, +2 Amulet of Epic Whine, Self Banstick +2 WTB: +666 E-peen killboard stats |

triage also has some secret sauce that ppl tend to forget. put on 2 large neuts. while in triage they work twice as good and twice as fast resulting in having the effect of 8 perma-running neuts.
any subcap will be sucked dry in seconds shutting off everything your target has.

and secondly, anyone wondering how effective and useful triage is should watch our old video Clarion Call

and finally, our new video will be out VERY soon, which shows the latest use of triage carriers and an all new method of playing with caps

I thought Triage only affects capital mods.

I don't know how good triage will be for Chimera since it gets no bonus to armor reps, which limits its use on field of battle. On a carrir with bonus to both types of RR like Nidhoggur it rocks.
I suppose it would be good for fast repping up of pos shields after exiting from reinforced. ~~~

no it definately works with large neuts. shutting off a hic's tank and see him melt away is sweet.

I have done some fighting in a triage thany.
And i have to say it works.. I and a friend jump in to try and save a fleet from bining kill be Rooks and kings.
the mission was not a 100 % As we lost 2 caps. we got the fleet out.
kill mail
It tok then 16 min to kill me and if i was not nutt by the ships ther, iwas abel to tank all of them on one rep.
that is 16 ships. and i had taken no combat bosters.
i lost the thany that day. due to the fack that Rooks and Kings are good in ther cap ships.
take the time to get it. i love being abel to tank some 25 - 30 bs and keep my friends a live.

Most incorrect Statement i have ever heard.
you can see exactly what the triage module does here EvE item db
triage is one of the most powerful and versatile things you can fit to a capital ship. you just need to know when and how to use it properly. |
