Looks cool, but has serious contrast issues. Also the default forum font is too small and thin. Image details in the background take the focus away half the time.

Remember that, as always, something like this is very subjective. In saying that, I like it. Everything from the font, colour etc.

I'd say that the contrast is a pretty objective concept. Font size will depend more on one's eye sight, but if the background steals the focus from the text it means that text needs more weight.
It all can be fixed just by tinkering with the forums though. Which is good because the art is cool.

Looks nice, personally I'd go less "cyan" and more "dark/midnight blue". Don't forget that a forum is about reading posts so if it becomes too cluttered it kinda defeats the point of being a forum.

this is true, the background doesnt repeat, so after around 2/3 posts the background fades out and is black so its alot easyer to read, but i understand the contrast issues and will work on them next time i start to play with the css :)

Looking good. I can't believe how many corps/alliances have these awful looking sites.
You should re-do your corp's sigs to fit the forum theme, and then the killboard too. :)

I see the theme quite nice but the forum description, last post, active topic need to be more visible imo I see the font to small (maybe because is white and the the rest are dark colors )

Killboard style is planned.
Sigs to match are in the pipeline  but as the killboard sigs are such low quality (to comply with forum rules) you cant do too much as a gif is limited to 265 colours(iirc), so its a bit offputting, but some designs are been passed around.

That's a very swish site, nice theme and colours. But the lighter blue of the individual forum subtitles doesn't contrast that well with the slightly darker background shade. The white also is hard to see against the lighter parts. You might consider darkening the blue slightly, and perhaps instead of white, a very light grey. The other colours are very...well...vivid. They're certainly visible, though perhaps a little eye jarring against the sleek look of the rest of the site. Consider possibly using a nice contrasting family of closer colours. F. ex yellows and oranges, darker purples and lighter reds. Ditch the pink, green and darker red.
Other than those minor contrast issues, it's a pleasant and nice looking site, good job. I haven't seen phpBB look like that

Totally unreadable to me and to top it off it's not even flexible layout but a set width. But I'm just an old grumpy guy who likes "function over fashion". It sure looks fancy and all, but god it's hard to make out anything useful on that.

i like set widths. it gives me boundries to work within graphic wise.
as for reading, ill admit in the places the background is bright with text over its hard to read (working on that), but ive not had an issue reading on the whole :P
