At the amount of euro/usa bashing that goes back and forth here. Honestly, it's no better than the age-old 'my dad can beat up your dad' tough talk in the playground.

I live in America. I will be the first to say that the majority of Americans are ******ed. This is why America isn't what it used to be. Back after world war two we didn't have much, no one did, but damnit this country made people proud. Then we suffered 40 years of idiots in the white house, foolish wars, and ****ty business decisions. Now look at us.
Americans need to take their country back. Otherwise Europeans win the day.

It's OK, they've enlisted the aid of the Judges who decided that Liverpool was European Capital of Culture 2008; if they can find culture in Liverpool, then finding one scruffy dissident in the middle of a huge wilderness should be easy.

My CEO is an American. I'm European. Somehow, we manage to get along. From what I've seen in dealing with americans and all sorts of europeans, honestly there's not much difference.
We both have our asshats, our numpties and occasionally even people who make sense.
One thing I see alot in Americans though, is a certain bravado. While it can get very annoying and can come across as very arrogant, in small doses it has its charm.
General advice: Watch Stephen Fry in America. Fry himself is a god of a man ofcourse, but the documentary itself is enlightening and amusing too. Trust me, watch it

The USA political system just seems to me to be geared to deadlock. In the UK the prime minister has huge executive power that the USA president just does not have. Which for healthcare reform in the USA is a sad thing.
