Summary.
CCP you've created some pretty powerfull ships.
Rattlesnake - 500 ehp/2k passive tank + 700-900 dps Vindicator - 1500 dps - Perhaps better than a federation navythron because of the web bonus, although perhaps one of the more sane ships in the line up. Machariel - 1100 dps + neut - Hard to see just yet but its seems to have battlecruiser speed, size and agility stats, with a side order of face ****. Bhaalgorn - Gah?@!
All in all, they seem to have been elevated to the same level as the Nightmare, then elevated a little more with a few tweaks.
Cruiser line up wise, I feel they are kinda balanced, much higher dps than t2/t3, somewhat less in terms of tanking potencial, however there still very evil.
Questions
1) Should these ships become the Alpha and the Omega, the last say in Battleship performance? 2) If not, is there a road map that includes niches for future battleships (navy tier III, or t2 tier III) 3) Are improvements likely to be made to projectiles? (a simple we're working on it would suffice :) - also this check out if you haven't already!)
Suggestions Converting the Machariel into a 8/7/5 shield tanker would probably even up the general shield to armour tanking ratio and provide better synergy with it's new found speed.
Gila drone bay may be a bit much, (thats coming from the proud owner of a a BPC )
Whatever you do, don't give the Rattlesnake additional torp damage (Again, thats coming from a BPC owner), the tank may be a bit insane, I'm guessing you'll be tweaking shield recharge rates?

Anyone who's thinking that these ships will be going for anything less than twice there previous price for at least a year is kidding themselves. (unless running pirate plexes or missions becomes a **** ton easier!) ____ Minmatar Children of Sol

CNR has 9.33 eff launchers + 160 DPS from drones (I don't believe in 2/2/1). Raven has 8 eff launchers + 160 DPS from drones. Rattler 8 eff launchers + 475 DPS from drones.
I'm just not seeing a problem here.

While faction ships are decidedly becoming overpowered with this patch, I believe that the whole concept of drone bandwidth is being rewritten with a 10 slot tank and 125m3 bandwidth.
If you give a tech 1 cruiser this ability, surely a COMMAND SHIP as well as a BATTLECRUISER should be able to use this ability.
I too would like to have the myrmidons drone bay restored to 125mb/125m3 with 2 turret hardpoints removed.

The rattlesnakes shieldtanking + drones makes it the best ship ever.
Macherial is pretty good once you actually figure out how to use it.
Vindicator could use 5% more *something*, but it's pretty sweet ATM..
Amarr ships I haven't really tested, but reports suggest that there defiantly better than previous. ____ Domination Balance (Or how we fix the Tempest) |

Dramiel needs a bit more CPU.
You need to make the Assault Frigate bonus not apply to oversized afterburners.
The Machariel is a beautiful ship <3, if you make the Tempest/Fleet Pest shield tankers, you can forget what I said about the Machariel earlier.
You really need to look at rockets, especially vs moving targets, unless your expecting there low fitting requirements to make up for there relatively poor performance when compared to standard missile launchers.
Vindicator still needs a bit more... It's kinda similar to the kronos, where as what seems to be making the other Sepentis ships kick ass is kinda missing in the Vindicators instance (IE +25% more damage than average). I understand why you can't have a 2k dps, 90% webbing death mobile, maybe replace the tracking bonus with an Armour HP bonus for example.
Eitherway, beyond some overlapping types and fitting, the pirate ships are pretty sexy. ____ Domination Balance (Or how we fix the Tempest) |
