Hey folks!
I've been told that the new T1 faction ships (Navy Issue Dominix specifically) will only be available from Faction Warfare corps. I guess that's Federal Defense Union for Gallente?
IE, if I want a ship, I have to earn LP with Federal Defense Union?
Having no experience with faction warfare, could someone tell me a little bit about it? Do I have to join Federal Defense Union to run missions for their agents? The only answer I got in game was that FW missions suck. Any elaboration? Are they in lowsec or something? -------------------------------------------------- Eve-Online Parodies: Music To Laugh To |

You have to be a member of the Militia to run them, and they are in lowsec. I am currently averaging about 40 mil per hour income on them, but there is a risk because its in low sec. I am also doing them in a sub optimal ship for risk vs reward reasons.
From my understanding highsec lvl 4 grinding tops out at 50 mil per hour. I see the roof on these fw missions being much higher then that. --- Ceptor Pilots HULL tank |

Awww, nuts. :(
Given the ships I like to fly, I'm not likely to go into lowsec to run missions. I'll have to buy one when they come out. -------------------------------------------------- Eve-Online Parodies: Music To Laugh To |

Edited by: Kora Zilesti on 10/09/2009 21:51:45 First poster is correct. Whether or not your agent is in highsec, your missions are always, always in lowsec, most of the time many jumps in. Edit: Also, when you warp to the mission, a warp beacon appears on the overview of everyone in-system.

On the plus side, FW missions tend to be much shorter than normal missions. They tend to be single room affairs than can be sped through, and best of all, you can use a MWD. They also pay out a stupid amount of LP in my experience. So you could grind 150k LP rather quickly, get your new faction Domi, and go back to hisec.
The risk is high, the rewards are high. Seems balanced to me.

It's not just your average lowsec, you have active people out looking for you. And your mission creates a beacon in all players overview.

It's not balanced when you only need to kill one ship to trigger a levle 4 completion
Still, the more they are blitzed, the quicker the Loyalty Point payout will fall down to reflect the "ease" of the mission. Removed. Please keep your EVE signature related to your EVE persona and not that of a real life politician. Navigator |
