Yeah, I'd like to think that if the human race developed to the point that we could build and pilot starships capable of traversing the vast distances and immense hardships of interstellar, or even intergalactic, space travel we'd think of something more constructive to do when we got there than arse about in the lower atmosphere with balls of light.
Similarly, I like to think that an intelligent species from another star system making the long journey here would want to do something that would make them seem a little less like interstellar ****s when they got here.
Conclusion - these kind of videos are most likely atmospheric phenomena, optical illusions, fakes or a combination of one or more of these.

Alright thank you for that wonderful bout of gibberish LUH alt.
I personally do believe in aliens myself but I'm not convinced they are coming to Earth to mess with all the rednecks. I simply refuse to believe though that with all the stars out there and each star having so many planets that we are the only intelligent life form out there.
Although I think the closest experience I've ever had was when I was like 14-15 and spending the night at a friends house, we were camping in the back yard staring at the sky and all the stars while talking when suddenly one star directly above us decided to just fly away. It moved in a straight line and at the same constant speed which made it more than likely a satellite but it was just funny as hell in watching what we thought was a star just leave on a moments notice.
Oh how I love my little corner of the world though where one can actually see the stars still. Those meteorites a few weeks back were impressive to see as well.

No no I refuse to believe that we are the only intelligent life form. In fact I bet you that we'll realize that we're not so high and mighty once we do make first contact.

believers like armageddon believers? they are like an endless joke. first it was 1985 then 1986 then 87 then 88. still they keep on believing their story.
but yeah whatever may come (no one knows) enjoy the moment. take nothing for granted. thats pretty much the way i guess.

i dont understand how ppl can leave the light on at nights in the city. atleast make it so it does not necessarly pollute the whole sky so you dont see anything anymore.
i think just having this view on the miky way band is very connecting. it has an effect on people.

Well, I must say I believe in ... stuff, somehow aliens might be there too.
Maybe not.
I simply stand by the paradigm that denies that only because modern science can't explain it or even acknowledge it doesn't mean it exists.
Dune and the mighty Frank Herbert wrote mostly about the effects of drugs on altering perception. So In a sense I believe there are myriad phenomena out there that we simply can't see, understand or even comprehend, due to it being rare, hard to see and the amount of crackpots spouting lizardmen from Pestulon theories.
I take a middle stance, and I have seen weird stuff, mostly due to me working (in the past) in a Psychiatric Hospital where the norm is not exactly the norm.
When you begin to realize that people with diff chemical balances in their brain can receive "false" signals from the outside you begin to understand everything is a matter of perspective. "Sane" people perceive things in a way that is statistically the norm, thus those outside of the Gauss Bell are abnormal.
I had the luck to work with a small savant kid and trust me, what this kid could do could really fall in the murky ground of ESP. Honestly I believe he had a completely ingrained and different way of perceiving the world, seeing dimensions of it that are barred to us. No weird Lizardmen from Urantia ESP Mind Control and Military ELF Frequencies here, to me, simply a diff way of perceiving things.
When hard science manages to understand these layers of perception within reality, perhaps what we consider UFO's, Ghosts, ESP, whatever will be explained properly, beyond a mere "weird light effect" or "mumbo jumbo snake oil selling".
Schr÷dinger's cat anyone? How we perceive reality is really the issue. Not some guy in a hat waving his magic wand around doing "magick's"
So as I said, I'm open to understanding reality, simply not choosing a strange path. The idea of a galactic civilization traversing the cosmos might be appealling, but what if in reality, they are just us?
I also bask in the chaos of this thread. ---

Edited by: Cardiana on 08/09/2009 08:43:51 interesting. not that in this case here but sometimes it can happen that people having actual awakenings land in such hospitals because they dont know what to do when in turn the only thing needed is deep accpetance and surrender. altho society does not really teach that to them. then instead they get pumped up. thus it would be great if the scietific community becomes more aware of that and also society as a whole.

Its not really that strange if you accept that modern science only has begun discovering there are many dimensions. We dont know anything really. We are like the people who thought the planet was flat, only this time we are talking dimensions instead of the horizons. :)
I like it.

Well after looking at the video several times now, I do believe this be an authentic video showing events that happened in the sky. The artefacts in the image are consistent, the objects lose and gain the focus as the camera does.
I do not know what it is, on the tape. I only know what it isn't.

Yep, its about the only thing anyone can say.
Our technology is making UFO videos largely irrelevant for the purpose of evidence. Unless the incident is witnessed by lots of people, it can be computer generated.
