Edited by: Vrenth on 23/08/2009 05:22:37 I am not sure if this question has been answered yet, but I myself havn't seen anything yet.
Is a PC version of Dust 514 planned to launch with the game? I believe it is essential that if the game effects our Eve Online gaming experiance at all, it is released for the PC. If it is involved in the Sov. mechanics that are in the works, you will have large alliances revolt against you because they don't want a buy a 300$ console to help defend their space. The whole "offering dust players a contract to defend/attack planets" idea is rubbish if that is all the Eve players can do.
I myself will not be purchasing the game unless I can play it for both my PC and my PS3, as none of my friends who play eve own a PS3/360.
Edit: P.S. If you include DUST content in ambulation I will love you forever. Thanks for the hard work your doing to create another awesome game for us CCP, but please don't let it go to waste by denying a large portion of the Eve community from playing the game.

Well maybe dreads will come with a new planetary bombing ability. Thus if a planet of yours is being attacked without a fleet support you can just bomb the crap out of them ;-)

This is an important question, which I have not seen answered thoroughly anywhere so far. I applaud you for bringing this question up in a completely new thread.

Every possible question about DUST has been asked and most of them in new threads again and again. We haven't been told anything and likely aren't going to be told anything until fanfest. In short we don't know **** and CCP is tight-lipped about the details. I'm sure they will reveal more details CCP-soonÖ.

What system the game is released on is very important. If they are telling us that it effects Eve online, it needs to be playable by the players of Eve online.

the only other game I play on my PC is Call of Duty.
If Dust is made for PC, I will buy it. Would not bother me one bit to get my dose of FPS, then EVE, which is typical for me, but all be one game universe. Win win.

I find it all rather amusing, the number of people that say i wont pay for a $300 console, yet, will rush out to by the latest Processors, graphics cards, disks, memory, cases just to improve thier gaming quality, which incidently cost as much if not more than a console would.

PC gamer will use his upgraded PC to play multiple different games, not to mention that Pc can be used for many different things besides gaming, 3d rendering for example . So if Pc gamer isn't interested in any other games on console besides Dust, he pays 300+$ ( console, game, TV? ) for one game - thus rage

Thats why the ps3 is so nice. You don't even have to play games to use it as an internet terminal or blu-ray player. Hell if you have the skill you can even stick an nlite super small xp install on it or even linux and run it like a normal computer with mouse and keyboard and it will still play blu-ray and ps3 games.

Confirming that DUST is the only game scheduled for the 360. Atm all 360 units are obselete HD-DVD players.

This. My next biggest concern is that when we finally do get some answers beyond what's already in the other 40 billion threads, people will still refuse to look for these answers and keep spamming because they feel they can't find them in the middle of all the spam.

Maybe more info than that pressrelease would help ?????? the only thing we know that EVE is getting some sort expansion/game and us internetusers are left out of it. What would you expect????? the funny thing is we don,t even know for sure on wich consoles Dust will play what if its intended for the next gen consoles those are comming out around 2011 or earlier i like to see the forums then not only the pcplayers will be upset ,but we will get a lot of angry old consoleplayers by then also

We're getting that.

seeing as how it's an online game, no, internet users are not left out. They are, in fact, mandatory.

That people wait. Running around like chickens with their heads loose will achieve absolutely nothing.

Console fanboys tend not to work that way (as long as it's within their preferred brand), so, doubtful. ——— “If you're not willing to fight for what you have in ≡v≡… you don't deserve it, and you will lose it.” — Karath Piki |

I have an xbox 360.
I don't care what platform the game is released on.
I will buy the console if I don't own it.
PS3 system will probably be better. Free online play.
Bring me Dust. I will enjoy tea bagging you all.

I suppose Sony and/or Microsoft put an "embargo" in the game, so CCP can't even say it's going to be published in PC in the future so console sellings will be higher. But I bet, ultimatelly it's going to be on PC, just they have to deny it.
