Yes, its another one. I'm not gonna say my opinion on it but... when you see 3 ninja salvagers in a mission, don't you all think theres a problem ? I really think so especially when they fight for the same wreck. lol. Its kind of funny. They look so desperate to make ISK or something ? if they only know about other ways to make it...way so simpler and faster.. ahh well. steal on then lmao.

btw, if you want to know how to beat them.. no, dont destroy the wrecks, theyll laugh at you. just take someone with you or just use a golem or a t2 BS. kill, loot and salvage at the same time... thats it

Theres also another thing I thought of. why can't we speak to agents from any system we are so that way when you activate a mission like you always do, it activates it from your current location. That way, it would solve the concentrated hub problem. no more going to Umokka, Motsu or any other ones. it could also decrease the ninja salvagers since they generally hang out in those areas
you can always talk to an epic arc agent in space from what I read (somewhere ???) so why not with regular agents

And you dont know how to use a "edit" function ?
in truth - I have encountered people trying to have a second ship salvaging - it makes it easier for me as I dont have to tractor it in just sit a little in front of them (between them and the majority of the incomming wrecks - so they do it for me. All I need to do is ensure I hit the salvage button before they do.... ahhhh how some people make it oh so easy and bring the wrecks in for you.
Thats the easy life. No worries, no more chasing wrecks.

Hitting the salvage button before them does nothing except give you an extra round or 2 of salvaging. If both of you are searching then it comes down to who gets the lucky roll. For the other half yeah its great, I just sit under them and get anything that comes near and if they are moving then I just click follow on them.

lol a sad bad case of boobs robbing noobs :p Doesn't work with experienced players though ex: mission in a Marauder with another Marauder for salvaging(don't bother, you'll get nothing).

Is your face that ugly for the mask ? And yes - marauders do suck but good thing you can filter them out so you dont waste tiem on em.

And what about the infamous battlecruiser setup? An agile 1100/ms, 85% access difficulty deadspace cruiser? And lets not forget the old strategic cruiser, 1800/ms dead space omfgpwnmobile also with 85% access difficulty that can turn on a dime! This is all very entertaining(*talk) but it doesn't take much reality to know that the(so called) Ninja Salvager hype starts and ends right here.
Lets just concentrate on the FACT that experienced players rarely(if ever) have to deal with these(so called) Ninja Salvagers to begin with. ex: Salvaging is my primary profession and I've been at it for well over 1.5 yrs now. Anyone want to take a guess at how many Ninja's I've dealt with? Yea, a miraculous 0. That's 0 seen and 0 dealt with in well over thousands of missions.
There are no miracles here. It takes a very small amount of effort to completely eliminate these so called threats, and that leaves the rest of the pile as nothing more than residual attention(look at me!, I'm so bad, yaddee yaddaa).
Considering most(so called) Ninja Salvagers couldn't even afford Tackle II rigs or the proper implants to match, I think it's safe to say that these threads are nothing but hot air and hearsay anyways.

You should be preaching in the other thread then to close it after 9 pages of ranting between the two groups - by your statement - nothing is broken, MRs have the tools and can salvage what they want and Salvagers (ninja or not) have their own. Overall (and as you say) it comes down to skill, if you are getting busted and lossing salvage - then do something and dont whine..

I would just blow up all the wrecks b4 they even got close to them. I usually don't even bother salvaging but if they wanted them asking in local would be the right way to get them, not just take.

I have 4 salvagers on my ninja rifter and salvaging at IV, so it is only rarely that I miss a cycle.

For lv 4 missions, is it possible to salvage and kill at the same time? Or are there too many enemies for you to stand still to salvage?

The marauders are made for that. They have a 100% damage bonus for weapons, but 4 hard points for weapons in the highs instead of the normal 6 or 7. Still, that effectively gives you the damage of 8 turrets/launchers and also makes T2 ammo a more affordable option.
They also have a 100% bonus to tractor beam range and speed, as well as a larger cargo hold, so you can loot/salvage on the fly.

your question: no your whining : I didn't whine about it.

just stating that there funny ... especially when theres 3 in the same mission or room lol. For me, thats a problem

I have a MR and a salvage ninja (Grass is green on both sides of the fence) so on the days where I actaully feel like running a mission I'll re-outfit one of the ninja's cruisers with 3 tractors and 2 salvagers and an entire low rack of cargo extenders and take him in with me. If it's a multiple room mission then he cleans the room I just finished while I work on the next. If its a single room the I either wait until the last spawn or make sure I've got the aggro before I work with the salvager. MR is mindlessly easy and so is salvaging and Dual monitors allows you to multitask with no issue.
I prefer having a second character for salvage myself. I know everyone keeps saying that Marauders are the ****nit but I can't imagine the cargo hold would be all that great especially when you are already carrying ammo.
Fake edit: Checked out the hold on the golem and its not too bad. About 500 less than my salvager if it were empty. |

I think some one is too stupid to get out of a major traffic HUB if that is happening.

Hmmm, i don't think he had a problem with people salvaging in his mission area, more that he thinks when 3 people start fighting over salvage, they have a problem. You call someone else stupid huh....

That's not true I personally know a lot of ninja salvagers (like all of them) and they all do it for the money because they don't even have enough skills to run level 4 missions.
I don't see what the problem is, I just shoot them in my faction-fit Marauder and drive them off. You guys should too.

You know, I wouldn't mind if someone (Ninja salvager) would ask me or I would publicly tell in local if someone wants to help me with the wrecks. I honestly, wouldn't mind. It would save me lots of time in fact. But from what I see, no respect...nothing at all. What I could do is fleet someone, work with the wreck splitting and voila. but with this going on...no never.
Im sorry but this so called profession has no good reputation with me and I do not look at it the good way.
note: I'm pretty sure I'm not the only one to think they would share there own wrecks with other people. Perhaps a salvage window is a good time to create now. This way, people who wants to share their wrecks could be seen on that window and would be able to fleet and warp to it ?
crazy idea but Im pretty sure that would be welcome..well with me it will.

Protip: They are all friends and fleeted and actually playing a MMO together. I know, a shocking concept isn't it!

In order for anyone in this game to be able to consider themselves "good guys", they absolutely need "bad guys" in order to give themselves a measuring stick. You can say, "I'm better than this person, because he is a villain for whatever reason, and I am not". This is fine - I don't mind being a villain; in fact, growing up in school, I always sought out the "bad guy" roles in plays.
But what's important is that no play is complete without the villain. In EVE, there's allowed to be bad guys - pirates, corporate infiltrators and saboteurs, mercenaries, can-flippers, gate-campers, and so forth. I've heard it said that the most challenging part of playing in low- and nullsec isn't what happens once you're established there, but what happens on the way - whole crowds just waiting to blow you up on the low-sec side of a gate from hi-sec. Wherever and in whatever form they exist, you should be a bit more appreciative of us villains - because without us, you're not a good guy.
