Is it viable to tool around in enemy faction space in say a frigate and have enough time to harass enemy militia.
A quick search yielded not much.
Does the faction navy start actively hunting your the second you enter system or after you break cloak?
What factors should I consider when estimating response times? How lethal are they? Can I avoid them on whilst staying on grid and presumably destroying something light? etc..
thank you

As soon as you enter enemy militia space they are on you.
The security status of the system you are in determines the response time and the force.
1.0-0.8 I believe will be 3 seconds once you come out of warp and they start locking. If you are in Gallente Militia High sec they will be Dual Neuting and dual webbing you. Not sure about other militias NPC's though but it's probably the same.
0.7 - 0.5 you will be dual webbed and dual sensor dampened and the response time I believe is 5 seconds once you come out of warp.
So you warp in on something kill it as fast as you can and GTFO.

Remember, if you need fast warp from gate, wait for npc to spawn then uncloak and warp, npc webs you almost instawarp, it does not always work 100% though

Its very dangerous tbh. Use intys for fast damage and aligns and you can get some highsec kills on people not paying attention/idling/mining etc. Anything that gets into a standup fight with you is going to kill you because of the oppressive navy spawns. Its not their dps so much as their EWAR (try to fight in a dual webbed inty) "I long for death, not because I seek peace, but because I seek the war eternal" |

Edited by: Fourty Niner on 19/08/2009 01:29:08 When I was in faction WAR I auto AFKed and went for a coffee. When I came back I found that I had accedently set the pilot to the middle of enemy Empire. I had gone six systems into Amarr space, in a frigate, and didnt die.

I was under the impression that there was a game mechanic "Cloak suppression field" that stopped you from cloaking when you where a enemy of the faction
This was in the first weeks of faction war, and that might have changed.
