Lets start just after a patch has been released. I log on and it will log in as normal, takes about 5-10seconds, half a second to authenticate. Next time i log on it takes a second or two to authenticate... and keeps getting longer and longer every time i log on. At the moment it takes about 4-5 minutes for it to authenticate, and it will keep getting worse until the next patch is released, at which time itll go back to normal and the cycle then continues. This has been happening i think since apocrypha came out.
Any ideas?
Any help much appreciated. Thnx in advance :)

If you're on vista, type this into explorer's address bar: %localappdata%\ccp\eve.
Open the folder relating to your TQ client, and go to cache -> MachoNet. In there there'll be a folder named 87.237.38.200. Delete it. That'll make authenticating nearly instant.

The 'Machonet' folder is located in the EVE Cache, which you can find in the locations below. Generally, if you have any odd issues, try renaming the cache AND settings folders and see if it fixes anything.. if it doesn't, you can just revert the name and keep your old settings.
CACHE/Settings locations:
2000/XP C:\documents and settings\username\Local Settings\Application Data\CCP\EVE\client_folder_location Vista C:\Users\username\AppData\Local\CCP\EVE\client_folder_location Mac "/Users/username/Library/Preferences/Eve Online/Preferences/p_drive/Local Settings/Application Data/CCP/EVE/c_program_files_ccp_eve_tranquility"

The reason you could not find the path is that the Local Settings directory is hidden by default. You have to activate show hidden files in the folder options or write out the path in the adress bar. ---------------------------------------- A Guide to Scan Probing in Revelations |
