Let's face it. There must be a ton of players out there like me, who's been playing the game since release that has a gazilion of items spread all across the universe that we'd love to have moved to 1 system.
I've been having those conversation with lot's of friends and they're thrilled over the idea that subscribing for 12months would give you the option to have all assets moved to a system of choice and then being able to actually being able to enjoy what you've gathered over the years.
So here's my suggestion.
Pay a 12 month subscription and get a bonus, move all assets to 1 system of choice. Since 1 hangar cannot keep more then 1000 items, any surplus items would be placed in the same system, in other stations. If you choose to activate this bonus, you would not be able to login and play for 7 days, and after that, everything is in 1 location and you play the game like usual.
Also. This would be a 1time offer for each 12month sub payed. And a player would not be able to first pay for 12months for account 'A' and move assets, then pay 12 months on account 'B' and move assets against on account 'A'. In short, an "all assets move" can only be done once every 12 months to ensure there aren't any exploits.
This feature could also be used involving corptheft and i haven't given that much thought since i obviously don't deal with that crap. But please do talk on the subject.
As i see it, it's a huge opportunity for CCP to make more money and keeping a lot of the veteran players happy.

Did you recently move in a hurry and got all your stuff left behind?
Courier Contract it all if you can't be jacked to move it, pay somebody else to, like the rest of us do.

No. I've just been playing EVE since release and wouldn't mind paying 140ú for 12 months sub + getting all my stuff moved to 1 system of choice. And i believe it's a great idea and opportunity to earn more money.

I used to have items stuck in a 0.0 station for two years, unable to do anything to get them out (bloody faction/T2 crystals in ships). However tempting it would be have all my assets moved to a single system of choosing, I do not think that a 12-month subscription is the answer. A better courier system to allow ships and other items (see above) to be delivered is a better solution imo.

Ok, so you're ok with paying to get stuff moved. So now you just need to find somebody who will do it for your price.
I'll do it for ú140.

I support this decision, having crap all over the universe for the last 6 yrs.
I'm sure if it worked out.. you'd have to set it so that you can't get items out of Outposts controlled by entities that do not "like" you. but even to move all my crap in empire to one location easily would work for me.

Took me 4 days to get all the crap I had to one place. But at least I done it they way it should be done. I even got lucky enough to get all my stuff out of hostile 0.0. Ran into a few gates with abandoned bubbles though :p ---------------------------------- None of yet! |

Girl/dude. I got loads of assets all over EVE, and i mean that, literally. From southernmost part of Stain/esoteria to the northernmost part of Venal, and we're not talking about a rifter here & there either. And unless i've known you for a long time or i can utilize some RL-pain on you if something "happens" to go missing, you're not touching anything in my assets.

I sincerely doubt you have any hope to exact RL pain on anybody, though I have heard that certain Eve players' spouses spend more than a few nights at their sisters safe from the rigours of bumping into cupboard doors, having said that I do enjoy a thinly veiled RL threat as much as the next guy on the internet, they've never failed to cause a derisive chuckle.
Just for that, I'm not moving your stuff, you can move it yourself. But everybody else in that corp of yours, they can pay me ú140 to move their stuff.

I apologize if you took it as a threat, i might have formulated it in a bad way. What i ment was that unless i've known you for several years and trust you IG, or live close enough to come visit you in RL if something goes "missing", you're not touching my assets.
Trust, is something i don't take lightly, IG or RL. Betray me IG and you lost my trust RL and gained my dislike...

Leave the flaming elsewhere and keep on topic. This thread does underline an often neglected part of EVE: proper IG asset management tools.
First, get yourself a proper asset tool (OOG).
If you have access to the station: - Go there in a frigate/hauler/freighter/Orca/JF/whatever and move the assets yourself or - Go there in an interceptor, sort your assets and make a courier contract. If you're not greedy (ie: put a nice reward) then it will be picked up.
If you do not have access to the station (and this is where EVE mechanics fail): - Sell what you can (might have to travel to the region in a cov-ops). Training Marketing a few levels helps if you want to sell on the market, or a few levels in Contracting to make more contracts. - The things you do not want to sell can also be turned into courier contracts. Put a big reward and a minimum collateral to cover your items.
The problem comes with ships, especially BC and above. You cannot create a courier contracts with them (if they have rigs or used crystals in them), so your only option (at the moment) is to contact people there and negotiate or to leave them there till you get access to the station again.
The big underlining point I want to make is that all the methods mentioned above require player versus player interaction. This is what EVE, a MMO, is about. I'm against having mechanics that let you press one button and circumnavigate other players. Sure, it's convenient and if it existed I might use it but I would much rather prefer if CCP worked on improving asset management IG.

or you could spend ú140 on GTC and then sell them as PLEX in game, use that isk to setup a number of courier contracts. that way all your stuff gets to one stations and you can carry on playing as normal without giving up 7days of play time!?
