Drag'n'Drop fittings works for ingame chat right? what i believe is that when you d'n'd the fitting to chat window it postes the ship dna -> http://wiki.eveonline.com/en/wiki/Ship_DNA
What i wonder is if it would be possible to be able to d'n'd the fitting into a < input type="text" > and the it automagically inserts the DNA string only! Would be for easy and neat insertion for certain functions.
Second tought would even be another API call, the suggested url would be quite self explanatory. /corp/FittingList.xml.aspx?vcode=xxxxxx&keyid=xxxx and ofc /character/FittingList.xml.aspx?vcode=xxxxxx&keyid=xxxx |

Sorry for reviving this old post but I just have to say that an API call for fitting lists would be awesome! |

Yupp, it's a good idea. Thing is that if people are not interested themselves other suggestions often get "debumped". That's why i do not like bumping post, good to know that someone noticed the suggestion tho. Means it is not way off interest's.
The D'n'D Suggestion is mainly a good thing for EVE Web developers, as a mean for "migrating" the EVE fitting onto a webpage. IGB has come a long way with Moondoggie so why not utilize the potential right?
As for the API call list. The potential is good too. For instance, CEO post's a fitting that all should be able to fly. Newbies launch EVEMon and EVEMon imports the fittingrequirements and auto add's it to skillqueue plan. If EVEMon devs decides to make such a function. Im just making a presumption, nothing else.
Hope someone else also notice's this. |

Ive noticed alot of other drag'n'drop functions that was present in the old webbrowser has gone too, most likely because of the update to moondoggie ( Awesomium ).
For instance, Grismar (Great dude btw) developed this function Rigs for Salvage Material. Wich also works on a D'n'D basis but is not working anymore.
Would be lovely to also know if these functions will be implemented once more or if the web integration from EVE will be gone for ever? |
