Seriphyn Inhonores, Sociocrat candidate for the ward in this upcoming September district elections, has reportedly recieved multiple minor injuries after being involved in a fight at the capsuleer establishment known as the Skyhook.
The incident immediately follows a previous one, where an unknown Sebiestor man assaulted the establishment's bartender, but was gunned down by the security guns just seconds after. M. Inhonores, who reportedly appeared calm throughout all the violence, was believed to make a comment on the ruckus, which prompted an unknown Gallente man, believed to be under the employment of pirate organization Ghost Festival who run the Skyhook, to assault the Sociocrat, leaving him with a broken jaw and nose.
Minutes after, M. Ethan Verone, CEO and executor of the notorious VETO. Corporation, was said to have followed up the violence with a second assault, leaving M. Inhonores with a broken wrist. It is unclear what the prerogative was for M. Verone assaulting Inhonores, but commentators believe it is related to the candidate's outspoken disgust for criminal elements.
Sources are unclear as to revealing the reason why M. Inhonores was visiting the criminally-owned bar, especially a few days after a spokeswoman announced his temporary suspension of his campaign following 'unforeseen circumstances'. His office was not available for comment.

Yet another one!?
This is perhaps an example of where... 'Freedom of Speech' can be dangerous.
These continued incidents in the Inhonores campaign show an utter lack of concern for the candidates own physical well being.
Private Security might be an option here? Or the candidate could consider thinking before moving into a hostile situation.

This is an outrage.
This man associates himself with a well-known criminal organisation openly enough to be cought by journalists in their establishment and even dares to run for a Federation office? What's next, may I ask? Blood Raider head on the Privy Council? Angel Cartel Sanmatar maybe? Some interesting times we're living in...
I'd love to hear Mr Inhonores speak out publicly on exactly what was he doing there. This is a question of public trust, no man who associates himself with organised criminal elements should hold any office in the Federation Administration, not even that of a clerk.

Seems a bit harsh, at "Deck23" we tend to have a friendly warning before the air-lock is used as a last resort, but I guess that's the risk you take drinking in an Angels' Bar.

Already happened with Dochuta Karsoth. Though, the position of Court Chamberlain isn't technically part of the Privy Council, if I understand how the system works.

If the idiot in question would like to be taken seriously as a politician then he should find the right place to relax for a drink, and stop trying to strike business deals with members of pirate organisations. Corruption is rife in the ranks of the Senate, and in the Federation itself. The people don't need another bad egg to add to the basket.
As for his wrist, small price to pay. If I didn't have the level of respect that I do for the proprietors of The Skyhook, it'd have been his neck, and probably the rest of him.

It almost sounds like you are volunteering.
But even more useful than a bodyguard is the ability to keep one's mouth shut when surrounded by drunken murderers. He may want to practice this while he recuperates.

Wrong, there are the security holoreels for that evening. However as the incident is still under investigation these cannot be released at this time.
To Mr. Inhonores, you had it coming really. Bringing your biased views into neutral ground, insulting the owners in their own bar and refusing to leave when asked to do so is not something we take kindly to. One would think that you had gotten the hint after one beating. In order to preserve the peace and with our customers in mind your access to the Skyhook has been permanently revoked. Consider it a favour, after all, what would the voters think of a candidate visiting an establishment run by criminal elements?

Said bartender was brutally murdered in front of those present, and the assaulter was a capsuleer. As the security system detected that bystanders were at risk the systems activated and neutralized the threat. We take security very seriously so our clientFle has nothing to fear. It is most regretful something like this happened but this proves our systems work outside of the regular maintenance test routines.

Seriphyn Inhonores appears outside party headquarters, along with his Sebiestor secretary, two bearlike men-in-black and a redhead Gallente woman carrying a small baby. He has a few bandages around his face and his right arm is in a sling. He calms down the journalists and paparazzi before speaking
"Alright, so you're probably wondering what I was doing in a pirate-run bar. Well, someone told me it was neutral ground", he smirks, "I guess pirates don't know the meaning of neutral right? Besides, the reasons I could have been there were vast and many, but I can tell you that I was there on serious business pertaining to the safety of one of my close friends. When a fellow capsuleer is in trouble, who you gonna suspect? I have nothing more to say on that"
He waves his good hand around dismissively to curb any questions, before talking again, "It just shows really. People say I'm detached because I'm a capsuleer, despite how often I spend down here. Well, look at my injuries, I'm just as much of a victim of crime as you all are! Having been able to empathize with my fellow Monipuoliners, I know have a more personal reason to destroy all this vicious crime and violence that dominates our ward"
He suddenly looks intense, "I now know a fraction of what the average resident fears...walking down your very own street, and being given similar injuries for no apparent reason at all. How traumatizing that must be...but if you make the right choice, that fear will be fear no more"
The man's intense look changes to that of a slightly more jovial one. He looks halfway to the sky and to the people assembled around, "And to those capsuleer petty criminals they bother calling pirates...M. Ethan Verone specifically perhaps...I invite you down to our beloved streets, play by our rules and see how you face up to the people of Monipuolinen!"
There are cheers of applause from the gathering of supporters that were waiting with the journalists or randomly passing by. Inhonores and his group return inside the party building, fleeing a barrage of questioning paparazzi

We know the identity of the "unknown Gallente" in question and he has our full support, as it is the unanimous opinion of the Mixed Metaphor corporation's capsuleer roster (and, no less, of its civilian staff as well) that the candidate in question has roughly the political accumen and intellect of a paperweight. And not even a good paperweight, either.

Very surprising, especially since "assault" seems to mean something different when done by one of your men:

And now for something directly addressed to other capsuleers.
Frankly, I don't know whether I should be surprised that PRETA endorse unprovoked attacks on their patrons. If I recall correctly, I simply applauded the foolish actions of that gentleman who found himself at the fatal end of the security guns. It was not directed at anyone else other than the deceased man, and if anyone else interpreted it as targeted elsewhere, you are sorely mistaken.
I do believe I did not fight back towards M. Vincent Pryce. He simply assaulted me, and I conveyed my disapproval verbally, not physically. As for M. Ethan Verone, he attempted to knock me unconcious, to which I defended myself accordingly, with no damage done to the attacker. The security holo will confirm this.
Unless, of course, people are upset over the fact that I successfully used self-defence against a man who, according to his social/power status, should automatically win every fight regardless of physical ability. He could have been Executor of the Caldari State, doesn't mean he can automatically have his way with people below him.
As for being asked to leave, Mlle. Arkenath, I told you I would leave as soon as I had a bit of time for my fresh headache to go. 5 to 10 minutes, I humbly requested?
So long, and thanks for all the PR boost.

If I'd attempted to knock you unconscious sunshine, you'd have been unconscious.
The holo will also confirm that I struck you in retaliation to the fact you launched into unprovoked abuse toward me before I'd even gotten inside the establishment and was still being checked over by security for weapons. This was despite the fact you'd already recieved a decent beating about the head beforehand from someone else, no doubt for a similar display of how to be a completely socially inept arse.
In reality, you're nothing more than a victim of your inability to keep your stupid mouth shut, and the fact that it seems to write checks that the rest of you can't cash.
I hope for the sake of those who might have a moment of idiocy and vote for you, that you'll actually develop at least some form of bite to go with the yapping little bark for attention you seem to have perfected.
Sadly I think the case is much different and the district of Monipuolinen will end up with just another politically impotent, "reformed" criminial who spends his spare time fratonising with members of the Angel Cartel to add to the thousands the same that hold various other minor roles in the Federal Government.
