The title pretty much says it all. I just learned how to scan (actual learning, not in-game skills), and I cant seem to figure out what class the WHs are. Id like to go in one and shoot up some stuff, but I dont want to destroy my shiny new Thorax if I end up going into a class I might not be able to handle.
Thx for the help.

Edited by: Mick Straih on 24/07/2009 18:01:50 You can use this site ingame, just put in wormhole id: http://igb.bluesuntrust.com/wormhole.cfm
also you can tell by background color for example class 2 are dark blue c3's bright orange at least from what i've seen so far |

It's also wrong about the mass of wormholes over 2^32 kg.

Ok so after looking at a few of these resources, Im still confused on one thing. For example, I have found a few class 7s (B274), and I started to think that the sleepers were probably pretty dangerous. But on the Allakhazam wiki, class 7, 8, and 9 mainly just said "Empire, Lowsec and null sec wormholes". That doesn't really describe the difficulty like "This wormhole seems to lead into deadly unknown parts of space", so whats the deal with the classifications and difficulty? Im looking for just an easy WH to figure them out some before I go into the more heavy duty ones, and Id like to do it solo if possible.

Wormhole system class is different from wormhole exit class. Wormhole systems are classified from 1-6. Class 1-3 show up as "unknown" space when you right-click on their entrance; class 1-2 can be solo'd in a well-tanked BC such as a drake. Class 3 can be done in a group of BCs, or solo'd by a well-tanked BS such as a marauder or dual-rep BS with a rep bonus such as the hyperion. Class 4-5 show up as "dangerous unknown" space on show-info and require a group (4+) of well-skilled pilots in RR battleships or t2 cruisers/logistics. Class 6 wormholes show up as "deadly unknown" space and require a much larger (8+) group of battleships/t2 cruisers with large local buffers and high resists.

Edited by: Zartanic on 25/07/2009 00:37:56 I completely missed the 'Unknown'=1 to 3, 'Dangerous Unknown' = 4 and 5, 'Deadly Unknown' =6 when I read all the guides. That would have saved me a lot of time checking it out first with my probe ship.
Also the distinction between Perimeter being the easiest type of site in a WH then Frontier seems to be reversed in some guides so I'm confused on that, although they all agree Core is the hardest.
