Ok. I actuily counted how many days its gonna take me to trian for one of these things and its a long long time. ok here goes...
[7 days] space ship command 4>5, [15 days] weapon upgrades 4>5, [4 days] Mechanic 4>5, [36 days] Ammar Crusier 4>5, [???] assult ships 0>4 ( rank 6 ) and [???] heavy assult 0.1 (unknown rank) ??, TOTAL = [68+ days] to fly a elite crusier
With that being a rank 6 skill neeeding to be at lvl 4 i think that boosts it to 80 days +
80 days wtf? I mean I asked for more skills but this is rediculous
Note i have 8.5 million sp and most of those skills are already at lvl 4. as soon as i can fly interceptors in about 20 days im starting on this project
/me puts flame proof suit on.

Wow, your perception/willpower must suck. Get some implants and the new learning skills tomorrow. -------------------------------- CCP can patch away bugs, but they can't patch away stupidity. |

Edited by: LLeBRing on 28/09/2004 03:10:48 It's really like this...
Skill progression is just way to fast, it was a problem that came to light when the game was launched. The DEVS have stated that they would like to see more "specialization" of people then have those who are just "all-a-rounders."
This provides those who want to specialize and take the hard earned time to see some great benefits like this skill. It also prevents just anybody who is anybody to be good at everything and royally tick off those who took the time to train it and attempt specialization.
Be thankful. Because when you have it, and have it you will, you will have a skill that most in the game will not. If you don't want to specialize, odds are you are going for the wrong skill.
My two cents anyway.

Actually, even though it does take 68 days or whatever (Assault ships 0-4 will take about 7-9~~ days.)
Good ships require skill to fly next :p ~~ Hyey
I just payed 15 dollars this month just to be able to respond on the forums... stupid cancellation error.

Probly a good thing, no vet wants to see a new player specialise in a skill group for a couple of weeks and then be able to use the brand new elite ships. This will prevent that and seeings has we're already pretty used to the horrificly long skills and can get implants fairly easily i don't think its too much of a big deal.
As another guy said, those stats are pretty crap lol, train up some more learning and get some implants and that training time will drop dramatically

The advanced learning skills should greatly help to take about a day or 15 off, maybe more. I think.

The real problem is that battleships took way too little training to fly. Cant change that now, though...

I can fly the gallente ones tonight. Trained cruiser lvl 5 when interceptors where released and it became obvious what elite cruisers would require. For someone that has focused on battleships this is just a new toy that will take ages to train for. But then you're looking at it the wrong way. Elite cruisers are ships that are great for those that specialize/want to specialize in cruisers. Not a new toy the battleship pilot uses every now and then. I would have liked to see them even higher. Make flying that kick ass elite cruiser something you have to train so long for, that someone that doesn't really wanna fly them, but wants a new toy, won't fly them.
When you see a bad ass ship, you want the feeling wow that guy really took the effort to fly that thing. And when you fly that bad ass ship you don't want everyone and their mother being able to fly the exact same thing with little to no effort. ~{When evil and strange get together anything is possible}~ A tool is only useless when you don't know how to use it. - ActiveX The grass is always greener on the other side. - JoCool |
