Halada's mining guide says this: "All NPC/player controlled stations have a station equipment of 50%, while player built Outposts have an equipment ranging from 35% to 50%." However, I brought my ore to an Ishukone station in highsec, and the "Base Yield" in the station's refining interface is "30%". I know the refining interface has bugs, so, who should I believe? Halada, or my lying eyes?

Not all stations are 50% afaik.
Run the math using 30% as the base and see if you get the same net yield as the interface shows.

Halada has an excellent mining guide, just upgraded it, would think 98% of anyone who has mined for more than a few hours has stumbled across it and downloaded the PDF version.
I concur with the observation that some NPC stations have less than 50% yield. Even large NPC mining corp outposts will have less than 50%, while retail warehouses in the same system will have 50%. Your guess is as good as mine....

I have seen that, and yes it's really 30% base. I've made the mistake of refining at a couple of these stations without paying attention and wondered why I had so much "unrecoverable" minerals. Strangely, it seems to be more prevalent with research corps, as the majority of the 30% stations I've run across have been Ishukone, Kalaakiota, and Carthum Conglomerate. ______________________________________________________ Isn't it enough to know that I ruined a pony making a gift for you? |

I have bookmarks for every system I can refine tax-free. Several of those bookmarks have been edited to include warnings that there are only 30% facilities in some of those stations.
Keep in mind that Halada lives in nulsec!

From my experience, usually (not always) stations with cloning service and S&I (Invention and Research) have less than 50% refining yield (~30%). Also there are less npc stations with 50% refining yield in npc 0.0 than in hi- losec.
PS> It's just my anecdotal experience.

Any station with all functions will have a 30% base refine rate
