Could the freighter/jump freighter get a ship bay for moving ships? I won't mind if it would be on the expense of cargo bay, or if you make cargo spent in either bay mutually exclusive
example: capacity 300km3 - ship bay 300km3 - cargo bay 300km3
drop a rigged ship in ship bay worth 100km3 - ship bay 100/300km3 used, available ship bay 200km3 - cargo bay available 200km3

I think they should just make a new ship for this job. Although the orca is pretty good for this, and if your not in high sec there is the carrier. So I don't see a huge demand for it.

I would like to see it. I blitz missions to assist people with standings, and it is a pain in the ass to move my rigged mission boat and equipment from one place to the next.
I have a hauler that should be able to carry everything no problem (even with the ship unpackaged), except I have to repackage my ship to put it in a cargo bay, and I can't repackage my ship without losing my rigs.

Agreed. I think the Jump Freighter would be the logical choice.. Already Higher skills are required and the cost is much higher than a regular freighter.
IF it had a limited Ship maint bay High Sec Courriers could get some payback for this big investment transporting ships not to mention having a runner on board for low sec pickups.
Limiting it to one BS class ship size would not give it a undue advantage either in my opinion, just make it more useful and worth the additional price tag.
The Orca is limited to BC or smaller and courrier contracts allow movement of rigged ships (packaged) to 120 M3 (frigs and cruisers) so this seems to be in line if the JF could move a rigged BS

Altough in my opinion, moving rigged ships SHOULD be hard and inconvenient, CCP is looking to into it. Rigs will not be something special which takes consideration, but just another modslot to fill.
Quote: 4. Transport of Rigged Ships This is something that can be a pain for many of you. There are ways around it such as using courier missions if the ship is small enough with a freighter or an Orca's ship maintenance bay for smaller ships. We will be looking into numerous ways to help alleviate the issue of transporting rigged ships.

A jump freighter should not get a ship maintenance array as that would infringe on the function of the carrier as jump capable ship transporter.
Giving it to a freighter is more appropriate as carriers cannot enter highsec and jump capability isn't needed there anyway.
As I have proposed before (and happens to be considered by the devs) I'd use a specialty rig for freighters that convert cargo into a ship maintenance array. So you will be able to either use your freighter as tug boat or as cargo hauler. -------- Ideas for: Mining

One reason I mentioned it be limited to ONE BS size.. And a JF in LOW is very vulnerable, not sure it could fill the carriers roll by any stretch of the imagination.
