As many of you know, us pod pilots who use dual monitors tend to use their client at full screen resolution in windowed mode. In order to make the screen fit on your display, you grab the title bar of the window and drag it off the top of the screen, allowing you to see the entire eve window.
Windows 7 i have discovered, has something of a different reaction to attempting to do this, and will not let you drag the title bar off the top of the display. Instead, the window is automatically shifted downwards so you can see the whole title bar, and unfortunately prevents you from seeing any of your minimized windows or the game clock.
I've searched google for this issue, and have discovered how to change the text in Internet explorer's title bar. Not exactly helpful. So I turn to my fellow dual screen pod pilots who are testing windows 7 for a solution to this problem.
Has anyone found a fix for this issue? I think it may have something to do with the way win7 handles windows that are dragged to the top of the screen, it maximizes them. I've yet to find the place to disable this behavior though for further testing. --- I am in blood! Stepp'd in so far that, should I wade no more, it would be as tedious as going over. -MacBeth

Simply use EVEmon to 'maximize' the screen or Orekarias program. ------------------------------------- Read my bio ingame for tips on how to live and not be called nasty names by me. |

Evemon handles character planning and does nothing to move around eve windows.
Orekarias is a word google knows nothing about.
Perhaps you meant EveLauncher. Which is not supported by Vista or windows 7.
So I'll ask again, to the people who are actually using windows 7.

So after digging around in the settings for windows 7, I've found the real solution to this.
The problem lies in Windows 7 Aero Snap application. It is designed to maximize windows when dragged off the top of the screen.
You can disable Areo snap by going into control panel > appearance and personalization > Ease of access center > "Make it easier to focus on tasks" Under the heading "make it easier to manage windows" there is a check box labled "Prevent windows from being automatically arranged when moved to the edge of the screen" check this box, and all your problems are solved. --- I am in blood! EveMON does have the ability to move and resize EVE client windows running in windowed mode so they use the entire screen and dont have title bars...
In EVEMON Check Tools --> Options --> General Tab "Relocate a Windowed EVE to fill a monitor"
It does more than just plan stats and it runs fine on windows 7

Strange that i am using windows 7 and am using StartEVE progrma by orekaria and i can use EVEMon to move the window around by tricking to think its 'maximized'. you can also run things in much better compatibility modes in windows 7. You just have to fiddle around with it. ------------------------------------- Read my bio ingame for tips on how to live and not be called nasty names by me. |

Edited by: illford baker on 03/07/2009 05:30:50 feel your pain, wish there was something as simple as full screen window mode on monitor 1 or 2 or 3 and so on. and that evemon thing does not work with multiple eve clients, and i found a way by going under monitor settings and moving the location so left is higher, hide right title bar, it stays while i move the right higher and hide left title bar.

Thank you, Mari Onette. That makes for one less annoying thing. :)

If you set up your screens correctly and reposition the windowed client completely on the screen it wishes to go on it will relocate to that screen once you start up the program ------------------------------------- Read my bio ingame for tips on how to live and not be called nasty names by me. |

Actually if you follow these steps
1) Turn on computer
2) In EvEMon goto tools/options and check the box "relocate windowed eve to fit on monitor, * run a check to check your monitor numbers*
3) Open eve at login screen, click on eve-mon's window on your secondary once your in a window mode of EvE online, and then on your client.. it will maximize...
4) Send a few mil my way :)
