So has anyone els here got it or is going to get it.
And whats your opinion on it do you like it or do you hate it.
For me its a great love of hating its guts the button layout is just to complex to remember and aiming is annoying its buggy the editor (alt+e at the main menu) is difficult to use and i cant find a guide for it in the 70 page manuel and its in black and white for some reason.
But hay thats just me so what do you think of it

I liked the first one as it was very editable. Some great MP and SP missions where made. I also enjoyed Op Flashpoint but I never had a preference between the two.
As for Arma 2, I'm gonna wait untill Flashpoint 2 is released and see which one people like more. |

I'm just waiting for a price drop, I enjoyed OpFlash and ARMA but I can't justify spending the money on ARMA 2 right now

ARMA 1 was great, spent many a time staring at the screen unable to do anything while having this blasting out through my headphones all because I accidentally shoot my own guys on occasion . |

I got and i love it, though its still got alot of graphic bugs and stuff, i managed to nail out the performance issue (crappy nvidia drivers). The editor is actually pretty simple.. select units, then double click to add a unit on the map, the same to add waypoints etc, with that you can easily work it out. Oh and too many coop servers i found, and its really annoying, need mooarr pvp servers. ---------------------------

Im downloading my 'legit' version off steam right now. But having played the earlier version I would say its much superior to arma 1 in every way. I really enjoyed the single player as well, I found it better than OFP's single player.
The editor? You go to single player and then press editor. It is about as easy as it can get. Alt+e opens a beta 3d editor that I have no clue how to use.
OFP2 is just going to be some rehashed Battlefield/COD-esque run and gun trash. Take a look at the E3 video... it showed that they really don't want to make it realistic at all, because they want it to appeal to the mass brainless console crowd.
Arma 2's demo is already out... so theres no reason not to try it. |

Tried the demo, not really a game for me, didnt like it. (and got a headache from that terrible motion blur, but apparently you can disable it in full version, would be first thing i would do). |

I love it as a simulator. I prefer its experience over any of the other combat games on the market. |
