Hi!
Currently i'm sitting at around 7 mill SP and can do level 4 missions breezy in my amarr ships. I don't have any "wasted" skill points in things like industry and science.
My attributes are 15 perception/9 willpower and won't be able to remap for around 10 months and learning skills are all level 4.
So here's my questions, I'm looking to get out of this ****ty npc grind fest and want to get involved in a corp pvp role and experience glorious explosiony death. What are the best options with my high perception and willpower skill points?
Electronic Attack Frigates and run around in a neut sentinel? Covert ops and scout out enemy forces and not really much else? Assault Frigates then upgrade to HACS? (seems logical but also seems expensive) Interceptors for pop-tastic tackling?
Opinions?!? I'm looking to be of use to null sec corps. |

Edited by: Lunewraith on 18/06/2009 05:42:53 Imo, I don't think anyone has ever been turned down on roams I've gone on when flying Inties. They're great for tackling secondaries (if your not the lead scout), great for scouting off-course gates (or watching your back), great for catching stragglers, decloaking, etc. Cheap to replace, effective in their role and decent survivability. Train up your attributes cause 15 perception and 9 willpower is very low. For pvp those 2 are the most used for example my perception is 28 and my willpower 24.

Those are his base attributes, he did mention that he has all his learning skills to 4 on top of this. ------ Quoth The Raven [Nevermore] - Edgar Allen Poe |

Both these go together and they make sense. Do all you need for interdictors is Science V, Propulsion Jamming V and Graviton Physics I? Is there any other interdiction support skills that i'm missing?
Also, what's up with the amarr destroyer interdictor having missiles?!?!? Who designed this crap? I guess you can just go for heavy interdictors insteads right? |

Bubble launcher, and naviation, that's all the support you need.

You may want to look at flying frigs and cruisers into PVP initially. You will loose a lot of ships, they are easy to replace and move around.
Try the punisher as it is one of the best frigs to fly (along with the rifter) and they can be replaced over and over and over. The next ship up is a bear as the omen is pretty good on the DPS, but very hard to fit.
If you have to fly tech 2 cuse you do then try them all, easy to get EW, inty and assault frigs to 4. Try them all and see what you like.

Cloaking
Your job in a gang is to sneak up on the target, drop the bubble and GTFO, nothing more.
You WILL be primary, and you won't have the tank to withstand a light sneeze. So you start running(good nav skills are a must), cloak and hope that your buddies kill everything before the targets find and decloak you. Or you manage to get out of your own bubble and warp away. |

Yeah, I'd recommend hictor or dictor as well, make sure you get interceptor too if you end up in a fleet that has 'too many' bubblers. (Yes, this can be a problem, especially if you have a ton of regular interdictors where they just launch the bubbles in a static spot. Can be a problem chasing people down if camping is the objective.)
Dictor might take you longer, but for both you'll need science 5 & graviton physics (1 for interdictor, 4 for heavy interdictor). You'll need propulsion jamming 5 for either of them.
Interdictor ship reqs are frig & destroyer 5.
Heavy Interdictor ship reqs are cruiser 5.
(I think I've got all this right. I just did them all...)

you also need astrometrics III to launch bubbles, which led me to a very funny incident on ts on the first day my alt was in a sabre, and fc asked for a bubble. - In essence, any combat related activity involving damage has been 'speed nerfed' to just take 6 times longer with a predetermined outcome coined balance by CCP. |

I'd say train Interceptors.
I love the little things. Cheap to lose (for t2), ****ing fast, you can move around 0.0 with relative ease, and the best part is you often get a swarm of drones assigned to you during gate camps.

If you really want to be usefull in a fleet , you need enough isk to afford losing a ship here and there . the ship will be relative to your income , but put yourself in this frame of mind " When I'm in a fleet , What do we need ? What would I want flying next to me ? And , What can I fly well ?" And of course "Whats fun for me ?" Try and remember that big ships and small ships have quite different skill paths , and the sooner you pick a direction the better you can focus on being an uber (insert ship) pilot .
