Edited by: FT Diomedes on 14/06/2009 17:18:03 Anyone have a good Falcon fit for small gang, low sec fighting?
The poor ship got gutted by the last nerf, it seems to me. I found a few of them in my hangar when I moved from one side of the universe to the other and I just cannot find a fit I like for them. My old long range, extremely focused, excessively fragile setup clearly doesn't work any more.
As fail as I may be, my Falcon pilot only has Recon IV and cannot use Hybrid weapons very well (yet). Perhaps I should just try out the Rook, but I used to like being able to warp in cloaked. Any thoughts? Should I just use a Scorpion for dedicated jamming needs? And a Rook/Onyx/Cerberus for everything else?
PS - WTF is the point of a 10 m3 drone bay?
...this doesn't even seem to be a regular case of rats fleeing the sinking ship. Seems more like the rats are on fire, the ship is on fire, and the sea is full of drunk Russians. - Jacob Etienne |

To fit a single target painting drone, d'oh.

Edited by: James Lyrus on 14/06/2009 22:25:07 My falcon fit hasn't changed much TBH. Cloak, probe launcher, salvager, cyno MWD, LSE, jammers SDAs Particle dispersion projectors.
74+53 km range works quite nicely when you're running 14.2 str jammers. (15.94 when overheated).
The 10m3 dronebay is for comedy value. Or for the hilarious concept of a 'gank Falcon' - which one day I will try, because it sounds either moronic or awesome. And possibly both at the same time.
I'm thinking of something along the lines of: [Falcon, Blasters] Magnetic Field Stabilizer II Magnetic Field Stabilizer II Damage Control II
Stasis Webifier II Large Shield Extender II Faint Epsilon Warp Scrambler I Y-T8 Overcharged Hydrocarbon I Microwarpdrive ECM - Multispectral Jammer II ECM - Multispectral Jammer II ECM - Multispectral Jammer II
Covert Ops Cloaking Device II Heavy Neutron Blaster II, Caldari Navy Antimatter Charge M Heavy Neutron Blaster II, Caldari Navy Antimatter Charge M Heavy Neutron Blaster II, Caldari Navy Antimatter Charge M
Core Defence Field Extender I Core Defence Field Extender I
Warrior II x2
I'll let you use it, in return for a report on whether it was, in fact, awesome or moronic. |

What is sad is that I have a very similar fit in my EFT! Since I cannot use hybrids yet, it will be a while before this setup appears on our killboards (when it inevitably dies a shameful and ignominious death).
