Have a basic question here, which Missile rigs affect Torps? I know one of them specifically says it doesn't but I'm still not sure the others do.
I'm specifically looking at Flare, but I'd like to know about the others as well, any thoughts on weather there worth fitting would be nice to. (ether being fitted to a SB or a scorp or raven) ---

All of them but Rigors affect torpedoes. The one you're probably thinking of is the Warhead Flare Catalyst, but most people who use torpedoes fit a combination of Hydraulic Bay Thrusters (faster missile travel and thus increased range) and Rocket Fuel Cache Partition (longer flight time and thus increased range). Fitting more than one of each results in stacking penalties, and some people suggest fitting all thrusters; the argument is that the missiles hitting sooner outweighs the loss of performance from stacking penalties. Me, I think I'd fit one of each, and if on a T1 ship I'd go two thrusters. ______________________________________________________ Isn't it enough to know that I ruined a pony making a gift for you? |

Edited by: Vyllana on 10/06/2009 22:28:56 All missile skills, rigs, and implants affect all missiles including torps, with the ONLY exception being those that reduce the explosion radius. Modifiers that affect the explosion radius do not work on rockets, HAMS, and torps.
Flares will work on torps. As for whether they are worth fitting, that depends on a lot of things, such as your setup, the situation, what you are shooting, and what other rigs you'd be giving up to use them. But they will increase your torp damage when shooting targets that move faster than your torp's explosion velocity.

Which means everything but structures and Capitals.

I didn't think there were capitals to shoot in PVE? Even a Rupture receives no torp damage mitigation from speed once single-webbed.
