If the the moonID could be given as locationID in the AssetList (for POS Modules and maybe even ships), you could assemble the pos configuration yourself without needing more change to existing api features. I don't know POSes are assembled on the server side, but maybe the location info of each module is accessable for this case.
Maybe someone of the CCP staff could comment on this, so that i can stop hopeing.

Edited by: Cory Sopapilla on 11/06/2009 20:40:04 I've seen this topic a few times. I think you have to manually set each POS ID in your app since you just get a list of POSs. It's another limitation in the API like not knowing which bin/location BPOs are in without just watching for them in manufacture job locations.

jep, i know these limitations, but when i tried to squezze some extra bit of information out of the api, I noticed that you could roughly display a pos with the fitting. you would just need the informations of the StarbaseList and the AssetList.
then you would know the location of a POS and could search the assets for POS modules in space in the particular system. this would work as long as there is only one POS in the system. Add a second one and the result would become inaccurate.
the only additional information would be a change in the locationID within the AssetList. If instead of the solarSystemID the moonID would be given for anchored POS modules, this would work. You wouldn't have any status information, etc, but it would be a start.

Edited by: Iyotaka on 14/06/2009 11:17:06 One approach might be to consider anchored mods as "contents" of the tower, much like a ship or other container. Then only the tower needs it's location changed (to the moon id it was launched/anchored at) - rather than the system ID being used now (I assume).
