SpaceSquirrels Caldari	Posted - 2009.06.08 21:40:00 - [1] Was wondering this today.... which geographic or nationality makes up the largest percentage of the EVE player base? I was gonna go with American's, but it seems I run into way more folks from the UK. Could be the times that I play though.... This also got me thinking that other MMO's usually have euro servers, and US servers in which US subs are the ones most counted towards how "healthy" the game pop is. Which is of course highly subjective. Anyway I was just curious if anyone knows.

At least Lineage is more popular in Russia (though many people play Lineage NOT on official sites) But there is quite a big community in Russia. But EVE isn't for everybody, like u really need to spend time for training skills, some of my friends don't want play EVE because they don't want spend monthes on training, they prefer fast-paced games. EVE isn't game for casuals, it's more or less hardcore. So in every country only minor part of gamers play it. But this game is really awesome though too complicated for majority of gamers... (majority prefers something simple, but EVE attracts someone who really will play it for long time and will get addicted, because there is no game that could give the same, but majority of gamers don't actually need all that features...) I always thinked that CCP attracts people who isn't satisfied with "standard" MMOs and need something more complicated... P.S. I don't like economic systems in all other games. I came to EVE because it has the best economic system of all MMOs i know. UK (if it didn't take the #1 spot) 3. Germany 4. Russia 5. Assorted Scandinavian countries I don't think China would be on the top five list on the Tranquility server. Remember there are also macro hubs in South Korea and parts of Europe, and anyone can use a spambot that mimics the stereotypically improper English of a Mandarin speaker.

I knew some other females but they didn't stay in game for long (few monthes maybe)

You use either the wrong method or the wrong column: The column you use already shows what the op asked for - the percentage of subscibers living in that country. The method you used would apply for the column before that which shows the percentage of players in that country that actually voted. Oh and i'm bored again so i did some additional calculations: Eve Players in relation to total population (numbers from wikipedia): Most addicted nation: Denmark: 0,1071% of the population playing EVE-Online (would have betted on the UK...) Norway: 0,0804% Sweden: 0,0626% UK: 0,0590% Finnland: 0,0577% Cannada: 0,0439% Australia: 0,0428% Netherlands: 0,0380% US: 0,0357% New-Zealand: 0,0302% Germany: 0,0299% Austria: 0,0278% Belgium: 0,0206% Russia: 0,0109% France: 0,0108% Hungary: 0,0105% Romania: 0,0084% Bulgaria: 0,0063% Poland: 0,0061% Italy: 0,0032% (no pizza in eve yet)
