Edited by: Bad Harlequin on 14/09/2004 13:50:41 or at least i think it's EE, i can't check from here...
Short form: most modules are improved either in use or fitting by their skill or a secondary for it. The nosferatu are neither. This blows. Please rectify. Thanks!
I ramble so i figured i'd get the point out fast first
The skill provides something like X% to the cost of using the module per level. Nosferatu, obviously, have none. This is annoying, to have almost every other module or function specializable to those devoted to training it...
the neutralizers benefit from training this skill and i suspect it was made with those mods in mind specifically. But please don't leave nos out of it... it's breaks the tinker feeling with fitting you get when using Wep Mod 5 to cram that last gun on there, or knowing your drones hit as hard as (in)humanly possible, etc...
support your local undead darkdwelling bloodsucker!
EDIT: geez, not one comment? Agree? Disagree? On it already?
Please make the skill for using Nosferatu actually affect their use in this skillbased game kthx. maybe i need to rant some more to actually get someone's attention

Agreed!
How about a percentage increase to cap drain per level?

Agreed, a skill bonus would be logical, although NOS is about the only module that gives you substantial and cap-free benefit in combat (well there are armors 'n such, but NOS is still teh tastiest :)

Range bonus would be sweet. Not that I mind much, I'm using a Nos on my close-combat frig and I'm not much of a fighter anyways, but increased range on Nos would just rock. _____

This skill is also used for energy neut's which do use cap to kill cap - For these it is usefull as you kill more than it cost's.

Great idea, 5% more drain per level would rock. I was just thinking of how useless Energy Emission skill was for Nosferatus a couple of days ago.

It might be overpowered if the skill gave a cap drain bonus. Maybe nerf them little before adding the cap bonus. Something like lvl 3 in the skill equals the current cap drain.

I'd rather see a reduction in fitting requirements or a range bonus, instead of a cap-drain bonus. Mostly because I think they're stupidly hard to fit for their function.

You have Energy Emission to Level 5 too?
I think it sucks that Nosferatu doesn't get a bonus from this skill - I got it to Level 5 aswell.

kinda sucks the PG for the nos's.
Imo to make them more fisable they have to reduce PG, unless u will only see them on BS's.

You do realize nossies come in 3 different sizes. frig, cruiser and battleship and grid usage on em is quite alright.
Agreed on the original topic, would be nice. ~{When evil and strange get together anything is possible}~ A tool is only useless when you don't know how to use it. - ActiveX The grass is always greener on the other side. - JoCool |
