I keep hearing people say "gas sucks to mine, its so hard to move, too much m3" ect.. I am looking at the stats and thinking "wth, its so small, so much isk per m3". Say arkonor is about 450 isk per m3 right now and c320 gas is like 15,000 isk per m3. a cloud with 10,000 units of gas worth 1.5billion to 2 billion is only 100,000 m3, that is less then 4 jet cans worth. That much isk worth in arkonor would be 3.3million m3 or 120 jet cans. So are these just players not accustomed to mining logistics that are saying this or am I missing something.
It seems if I found a cloud with 10k units on my 3 accounts all with 5 t2 gas cloud harvesters each then I would be mining 2,700 units of gas an hour(1 jet can an hour) and be done in under 4 hours. 1.5bil to 2bil worth of profit seems really worth it for about 3.5 hours of work, and certainly nothing to complain about when the logistics is 3 trips with a t2 hauler.
So again, am I missing something? ------

My guess is that what you're missing is that most people don't get to mine the two really good gasses which only appear in the hardest wormholes (and you may have to search quite a few of these to find a site) and whose guardians are quite strong.
If you look at something like Fullerite-C28 then it's 4m3/unit which is worth 1000 isk. With 5 T2 gas harvesters that's, what, 2.25 million/hour/ship before you take into account scanning the wormhole, scanning the site, moving your ships and shipping the gas to Jita (quite possibly through a couple of different wormholes and a dozen or more regular jumps.)
At least with arkonor you only really have to get it to the first station that has an acceptable refining capability. The gas market is not well developed outside Jita in my experience so you pretty much have to haul it there.
Sure, some of the other gasses are worth more but they're all worth less than veldspar (apart from 320 and 540) and veldspar you can mine in high sec with almost zero time investment and risk.

You got your char back raven? Or is it the new guy.. Anyway the reason why gas sucks/hard to mine is because the good gas is in the WHs which you have to probe out then mine/transport through WH to wherever. It really isnt that difficult in my opinion if you get a few buddies to do it with. It is very profitable but probing gets tiresome unless your a probing *****. Also may need to watch out for NPC spawns and avoid not getting ganked.
It is very do-able and profitable though. C320 and 540 are the good ones if I recall.

Yeah we have been in the wormholes a while now and pulled out billions worth of ABC ore using a large pos with intensive refinery ect... so the gas mining would be on the side along with anomolies and hacking sites. I just wanted to make sure there isn't something missing about hauling and it and storing it.

Hey Osp Polos, long time no see. I am hanging with a few guys from PZ, including bashiri and dragonyte right now. Your welcome to come join us.
Yeah I am doing it in the wormholes with a POS. moving into a class 5 wormhole. there would be at least 5 characters out in the wormhole all mining with t2 gas harvesters so whatever we find we will mine quite quickly.
So what it looks like is the c320 and c540 gas worth mining will be very rare, but definitely worth mining when I come across it, and only be in clouds containing either 500 units or 6000 units. I'll be in the wormholes primarily for the grav sites, but with everyone doing that ABC ores but with so many people doing that megacyte and zydrine prices are falling so being able to mine ladar sites on the side will be nice.
And I am expecting CCP to change the rarity or size of these sites at some point to help make t3 more attractive as right now they are too rare to bring down the price of t3 so I will be ready when it happens. ------
