So, I got myself a ship to run Wormholes or Combat Plexes, and in the past two days I have been probing I've found:
3 Wormholes 2 of which lead to hisec 1 of which lead to lowsec 2 Grav Sites 1 Radar Site 1 Magnetometric Site 1 Unknown Site (Rogue Drones = worthless)
How freaking rare is an actual wormhole leading to wormhole space? When WH first came out I played around in an Imicus and found tons without even trying. Did they lower the chance for them to spawn or something? I'm in lowsec btw. However, on another note, I now have one of those annoying sigs. |

I expect the people who have now taken up residence inside the wormholes are deliberately collapsing any wormhole that leads to places they don't want to go.

Bad luck? You should be tripping over them. 1 every 3rd system or so, in my experience.

I'd say 90% of the wormholes we've found from known space have lead to w-space. I kinda consider it a rare treat when I find a wormhole that leads off to a deep 0.0 k-space destination. ~ Santiago Fahahrri Galactic Geographic |

I've just done twelve straight systems in 0.0 space and found not a single nothing - and I have fine probing skills, rigs etc

Went probing again for a bit today.

You must have the worst luck ever. Every second scan has been a wormhole for me as of late and they almost always lead to dangerous or normal W-space. I am in lowsec currently, dont know if it makes a difference.
Bloody clogging up my normal scans.

get better probes strength, you should be fining them a lot faster. i.e. that is have far more results, for the time spent. Secondly if your getting onat say Eastern standard time 5pm that means the game day (and hence new spawns) have been up for 10 hours. you cannot collapse a wormhole by finishing everything in it but all you need to do it enter it and exit a couple of times, and the info will show that alot of ships have been though it and very few other people will make the attemp for fear of gank squad waiting on other side.
Thirdly, search smarter. Alot of people are looking for high sec gravametric sites so skip areas that have no stations. Also many people do a loop. Exit station go A>B>C>D>E>F>A So systems with dead ends tend to not get scanned alot.
And lastly, scannig near jita or rens or any other very populated hub is odd, alot of alts used to haul items to said systems also are used to scan down hacking or lader sites.

Edited by: Joachim Kato on 31/05/2009 00:28:52 Hmm.. I'm in 0.0 and I find a WH to unknown systems just about every day. I don't know if spawn rates are any different in highsec, but some of the WH's I am finding have highsec exits. Try to go to systems that usually have less people. Also, get implants that increase scan strength, use a covops for bonus with a sisters probe launcher, sisters probes, rigs. Get all the bonuses you can to strength.

im pretty new to scanning took me a day to figure it out. my 3rd day i found 21 wormholes in High sec. I would say that 90% of these were to wormhole space... which is apparently 2.1 billon jumps away from where i warped through from (maybe an interesting fact :P). seems my skills are lacking though to actually lock any sites inside wormhole space.
honestly though i think its just a matter of luck really, some days i have found alot of wormholes others i have found alot of sites.
Also on that note wondering if anyone knew what rats (if any) are at the radar and magnometric sites in wormhole space. |
