Hi, I wrote petition but GM pointed to this forum I have difficulties in recognizing probes with current dark grey color of scan probes. This happens often on dark background or in case the point of view is overlapped by shadow (projection of probe radius to horizon).
My request is not about to change color but make probe position more readable. I need to see perspective, relative position of one single probe to others. Solution should be suitable for all types of brightness of background.

Also cut it out with the 3D crap, I am tired of having to try and click a skinny line and / or spin the map to get the FULL arrow to move it...... Just give me an arrow at all times.

For sure.... I mean really... Should there even be shadows in space?? And add an option to remove ALL tags.. and I mean all of them!! When I'm probing, all I want are arrows and green dots.

Er, so that's a "no" then?
How else are you supposed to reply to this thread if is not in support of it - by lying and saying it's all working nicely?

So how would you like us to indicate our agreement with the proposed idea in the 'Features and Ideas Discussion' forum ?
The system needs work and people are agreeing with that fact. (is that better than /signed?)
Perhaps if CCP Devs started to engage with the community about what needs fixing and actually listened(and responded) when reports are made about patches applied to SISI that have problems BEFORE applying them to the TQ server, the forums might be a lot better controlled than they are now.
Are CCP now going to start actually trying to clean up the forums so we can have real discussions, because there are other areas that need a lot more work than this little thread.

This is not the assembly hall. Your agreement or disagreement with an idea alone is meaningless. If you have issues with an idea, describe them. If you like an idea, build on it. The purpose of this specific sub forum is to gather and develop features and ideas. It is not for voting on the popularity of any idea or feature.

What's the point in even removing the "signed" replies? I don't understand that. I don't see any "topic ratings" or a spot in the forums to place your "thumbs up" to a thread, so wouldn't replying with "signed" be the same thing as "I agree"?
I think this topic is probably one of the most complained about by most of the people I play with. We HATE the new probe graphics!!
Put a topic rating somewhere in your forums.

NOt signed ....
wait a sec, am I signing this by saying not signed ? ....
well in the end there really doesn't need to be much DISCUSSION about this, everyone agress it is a dumb design.
Really this is more of a comunitee shout out to the developers to fix it, a petition if you will.
Or a freindly reminder that you forgot about the "feature upgrade/alteration" in the latest patch - what ever makes you feel better.

This forum is for developing/critiquing the ideas. Once an idea is refined, and you want to have a public show of support, it should be placed in the Assembly Hall, where it CAN be supported with a thumbs up. In here, where ideas are being developed, a /signed post does nothing by clutter up among the ideas, and effectively amounts to spam that needs to be trudged through to get the the real ideas.
That said, I have also noticed the my drag arrows and boxes disappear when multiple overlapping probes are covering them up. I don't think changing the color would make much of a difference, it's more a function of the transparency of the bubbles knocking down the visibility of the arrows each layer. I think what is going to be required instead, is that the transparency of the bubbles will have to be increased, but I feel this would hurt visibility of single probes. Perhaps increasing the grid size on the bubbles would work, so there's less rope in the net, so to speak.

Yes please fix this. There was nothing wrong with the old probe spheres, just bring them back and let us adjust transparency/color via the settings or something.
The current probes are a pain in the eye, laggy and break the UX.
